Real Life Captured #59: Guayaquil Ecuador! Part Three (13 photos)

in #travel6 years ago

Hey there my Steemit friends! Welcome back to Guayaquil Ecuador. This city is a real metropolis of Coastal Ecuadorian life at it's best. The streets seem endlessly full of vendors of all types. The entire city in many places feels like one gigantic market place.

Just walking around you see people carrying bottles of cold and not so cold water shouting "agua agua!, viente cinco". Which means "water water twenty five"; as in twenty five cents. Another guy has a mixture of coconut water and other fruit juice. Someone is grilling sausage on the corner. There is a guying shucking oysters on the ground. Everyone has something to sell, and life goes on.

The second to last photo is one of a homeless man who seems to have thrown in the towel, you see quite a bit of this in Latin American cities in general. The social welfare support just doesn't exist like it does in wealthier countries. Some how they survive as life is not easy for many here. Now let's take a closer look at the Real Life Captured In Guayaquil Ecuador!

I like this one....it's pretty cool to see a walk around view of a place I've never been. Really helps me see if I'd like to visit! Also shows me what those everyday moments we as humans all have in common look like in other parts of the world. Hope you're having a great day Dan!

Thanks for the lovely comments Ruth. Yes I certainly enjoy capturing everyday real life. To me that is what I like to bring to my viewer the most. To see another photo of the Eiffel tower, or a monument.....ehhh These photos are raw and real. To me it's the people that are create the environment, country, and culture. This is what I see everyday when I walk out of my hotel here in Guayaquil. So glad you like my work. And congratulations on your photos! I really like them both (profile/cover). Have a great day Ruth!

I think there is many meat restaurant. Beacuse Barbecue is on the street. Ecuadorian people seems happy in the photos. Is is true? Thank for sharing.

Thanks for visiting and asking a good question. Yes I think overall the Ecuadorians are generally happy people. Hope to see you again soon! -Dan

Excellent post. I would love to go down there for mission work. My heart hurts to go. The picture of the bird cages reminded me of Miami. There was an old fellow by the Miami River once that had a set up like that, birds for sale. I thought it so cool. Thanks for sharing and as always thanks for your support over the last month. This newbie appreciates the encouragement. Blessings.

You are very welcome. The only way to make it here is help from people higher up. Like I my my 1000 post was thanking people that who 90% were all higher up than me. It's a strange place but that's kind of how it is. I don't if they need much mission work here. The entire country is already like 99% catholic! But you certainly could try to feed the birds. I'm very happy to be a positive influence on you here. Have a great day!

I find it so great to see some random guy bbq some sausages and sell them on the streets. Rare in the western world nowadays. Great post @world-travel-pro

Oh yeah. That is what I love about life in the non western world. It Raw it's Real, and whatever goes! Back home everything seems illegal, regulated, and commercialized. You hear these crazy stories about the police shutting down little kids lemonade stands and stuff. That's just so bizarre to even comprehend.

Thank you so much for your support I really appreciate it very much! Have a great day! -Dan

great post ...as always..
