My First Ship Experience! 🛳

Have you ever experience being told by your partner that you are going somewhere without informing you ahead of time? No idea, doesn't have a clue that he got plans whatsoever? How did you feel?
The conversation started like this:

HIM: We are going to Wales tonight.
ME: Huh?!

(We live in Northern Ireland)

I could kill him sometimes but decided not to for love sake lol.

And now too many questions in my mind. How can we get there by car? How and where is that actually? Like I'm from the Philippines, I don't know.I just know it is another country in the UK.

So my husband told me, we are taking a boat tonight. And I was like, boat? With our car? When I heard boat I thought he is talking about a small kind of boat we have in the Philippines. And he changed boat to ship then.

I have never been on the ship. I'm scared. Or maybe just scared because I can't swim. Well, my father used to tell me, our dog is better than me, if he throws in the sea, he will swim and float me, I will die hahaha. Though he tried hard to teach me to swim, me, I gave up.

And so it's time to go. There were me and my husband, my daughter and stepson and his girlfriend. We reach the port.

And I saw the ship! Didn't think it was really big. Like massive!

We were directed to where to park the car.

And I really thought were going to stay in the car during our trip hahaha. Stupid me! So we get out of the car and get inside.

I thought we're in a hotel and not a ship. I wasn't expecting this at all. I thought will be freezing outside. I forgot this is the UK. And look at these, it's beautiful inside.

There's also this Starbucks shop inside the deck.

I remember @goldmatters contest and love this gold Starbucks coins lol. But won't fit for the contest so never mind.

Here's the deck. We sail the last trip and there are not many passengers. It is so elegant inside. Really makes you feel comfortable. Also smooth sailing at that time.

Outside here's the view. I can't stay long. It's freezing out here.

I enjoy the view though. I love it!

TIPS

We took this ship in Larne and is cheaper than the Stena Line because it charged per car while Stena charge per person. So choose what suits you.
The last trip is cheaper. It's like we save 30£ for being on the last trip. 12:00-2: 00 am Just two hours. And not many taking it so it feels you hired the ship.

To summed it up, I enjoyed my first ship experience at European Causeway! It wasn't bad as I thought. It's even greater on what can I imagine. It was a smooth sailing trip. Walking about, taking photos and amused at everything. Yes, it's me lol.
