Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #28 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.

If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. I almost never post street photography with people as my entry but this one seems fitting for Easter Sunday today. When I visited the Christian quarter in Jerusalem last year, I came across a big group of people reenacting the Stations of the Cross. This route depicting the crucifixion of Jesus in Jerusalem is called Via Dolorosa. I believe I took this photo near the 5th Station, Simon helping Jesus carry the cross. It was definitely a memorable moment seeing believers witness such a holy and important place for their faith.

Aoyama Cemetery, Tokyo

The Old meets the New, and it is Cherry Blossom Season. Tokyo has many great places to watch the blossoms but that old cemetery in the heart of Tokyo is somewhat special. In the background you have the skytowers of Roppongi yet you are on some kind of holy grounds surrounded by some fragile beauty. One of the best places to feel the season

Sakura best and beautiful flower 😍😍

Welcome the spring! Great image for that. Thank you for sharing. Tomas

Hello @czechglobalhosts! This is the view of Marina Bay area in Singapore, a photo that I took while there's an incoming storm / heavy rain along my way. It's an uncommon scene and this serves as my entry to the Asian Sunday photo challenge.

Thank you!

What a stunning image! Thank you so much for sharing! Are you from Singapore?

I'm currently staying here in Singapore, originally from Philippines😊 Thanks so much for appreciation. It's my pleasure to join your photo challenge😊

I will be in Singapore for a day and half next week... Is there something I shouldn't miss?

That's awesome! A bit short but I guess it should be fine, here are my suggestions:

  • Gardens by the Bay / Garden dome, this April the exhibit will be about spring, it will be filled with Tulips and other interesting plant & flowers (only happens once a year)
  • Night, I suggest the Clarke Quay, perfect for hangout and great food as well, you may see it here in my post Clarke Quay
  • Food, from 2nd-29th April, World Gourmet Summit will be held here in Singapore, you may check the details in there website (awesome food)
  • if you still have time to spare, you can visit these places as well: Sentosa, Siloso beach, Universal studios, & Marina Bay😊

Enjoy your stay here buddy!

Thanks ever so much for your tips and summary! Truly appreciated!

My pleasure to be of help to you. Have fun!😊

A small boat carrying people across the Buriganga river through the huge cargos. These men sails the water against danger everywhere around them. Sailing this dirty water at sunset gives a all different felling about the place.

Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Thank you so much for this beautiful image!

These photos I did on Kunashir (southern Kuril Islands). The water of the Sea of Okhotsk off the coast there is quite warm in the summer. In August, it can be 15 and even 18 degrees. Therefore, in the shallows there is a huge number of marine plants.

Tides, waves and currents shake these grassy fields in one direction and then into another. If you are lucky and the weather will be sunny, which is rare in this region. Then you can enjoy an amazing game of color. Bright green, orange, blue, yellow.
Owing to the reverse surface of the water, these colors are mixed and flow into each other.

Little too cold for my liking:)....

18 degrees for the Sea of Okhotsk is almost boiling water)
Usually the temperature in the summer on the surface is 9-10 degrees ... Slightly deeper already 7

Nubra Valley is one of the MUST VISIT places in Ladakh especially if you are visiting for the first time. Nubra Valley is among the sub-districts in Ladakh, The Nubra Valley, once on the trading route that connected eastern Tibet with Turkistan via the famous Karakoram Pass, is the most recently opened area of Ladakh. The deep-cut Shayok and Nubra River Valleys offer tremendous scenery on a grand scale, with green oasis villages surrounded by thrillingly stark scree slopes, boulder fields and harsh arid mountains.

What a fabulous image! Thank you for your entry. Tomas

Thank you so much @czechglobalhosts, and thank you 2nd time submission

This is the best surfing spot located on the beach of Lhoknga, Aceh, Indonesia's westernmost province. I took this aerial shot from my drone camera when I visited Lhoknga beach last week. This beach is also packed with tourists from various countries to try the potential of the waves are challenging to surf, even white sand beaches in Lhoknga has been used as a place of world surfing competitions held every year.

Nepalese village and the Thorong La Pass in the background (5,416 m). The Pass is the highest point of Annapurna Circuit and one of the highest "tourist" passes in the world. The picture was taken April 2017 - the day after I crossed the pass.

That looks like a place for some serious hiking! Thank you for your entry. Tomas

Pura Besakih is a temple complex on the slopes of Mt. Agung in Bali, Indonesia. It is the largest, holiest and most important Hindu temple in Bali. Perched at nearly 1000m, it is an extensive complex of 23 temples built on 6 terraced levels. The lava flow from a series of eruptions of Mt. Agung in 1963 missed the complex by mere meters. When I visited the temple, there was a huge rainstorm on the mountain, adding a mystical element to this holy site
