Top 3 Tips to Help Steemit Newbie to Move Around and to Earn Income for your Post

My 3 weeks moving around in Steemit and Experience Gained

Since my first introduce myself post published 19 days ago ( listed below ), I got upvotes value at USD7.88, on the first day. But it decreases over time and left with a value at USD5.99, after 7 days that is on the day of cash out. I have no clue why it dropped but reckoned that the value of the post could have been adjusted itself over time.

My IntroduceYourself Post

Throughout the last 3 weeks doing Steemit, I have been trying to post 2-3 articles a day consistently that included self written stories as well as posted photograph via Steepshot. I also link a couple of wordpress post via the SteemPress plugin.

For some reason, those self written post received some value as well as upvotes. Whereas, almost all the post that created by Steepshot and SteemPress received almost zero value even with a few upvotes. You may have guess that high value voters only interest to upvote good article post as opposed to photo upload via steepshot. However, there are photo that attract high value though. You may wonder why ? Below are some examples :-

As a newbie to this opportunity, I have learn a few tips and tricks to improve in Steemit though still in the process to learn more. Below are some of them :_

1 Write a good article to post

I realized that this requirement is not over stated. I have several reasonable well written original article, a couple of photo post via SteepShot and Dmania, a couple of article posted with SteemPress. Except for those few self written article, most of the photo posted fetched less than $0.05 in upvote value. With these result, I reckon that you must write your won article of general but demanded interest.

It is interesting to note that all of them attract different value and voters. The question you may have is how to attract more upvoters with high voting power ?

There may be trick that you are not likely to guess or pick up easily from those youtube tutorial. I am still trying to figure out how !!! However, I have tested to increase the Voting Weight from 15 SP to 19 SP by power up your Steem Power

2 Include relevant Tag in your posting - A clue to attract relevant voters

This is one great features in the steemit editor that allows you to include a tag which is tie to a specific category ( of your article ) for which high power voters may frequent these category and spot for good article and give their votes. Why should they vote for good article ? One fact is that they get their fair share of reward as a curator when they upvote an article which become trending ( popular in short time ). This result in their increase in their wallet size.

Another use of category tag is for certain group who identify their own members post by using certain unique tag. With this unique tag, voters can search in this tag and quickly identify the post put up by their group members. Then withing the post in this category tag, voters can again pick those worthy articles and give their upvotes.

Listed below are some of the tag which is created by a specific group of members may benefit you are :-

• cn-malaysia

Tips : You ought to join this type of group for which a category tag has been established and used by group members. Keep in mind to choose an active group to join. You would likely pick a group with daily article submission and members are actively vote for high quality post.

3 Build up your Followers

Easy said than done though but it is important and critical to set up this network effectively and be active about it. Like it or not, members in Steemit has limited voting power especially for those who are new. You will see that they will vote for their friends, but also will look out for good article to vote. If you merely vote for vote among your members, you will like receive very low value in your voting power. Remember, your vote value increase if the post you have voted become trendy ? If you simply vote an article and that article is no way become trendy, they your voting power will not increase.

You can build up your followers within the Steemit platform for which, every steemian can see who they are. You can also see other steemian followers list so that you may also follow some of them.

There is another way to create your network solely for the purpose of steemit. That is using facebook group as a mechanism to form your own group for a specific purpose in Steemit. Since fb group has different level of control such as public, private or closed group. Which these 3 options, you can have a better control your membership. Once your fb group is created, you can start to invite fb user to join your group subjected to approval if you have chosen it during set up.

Like it or not, if you have high reputation, fellow members in Steemit like to follow you. If your voting power is high, more member will follow you too. When you are new, your voting weight is 15 SP and you need to earn credit from your article posted and build up slowly.

However, their is a actually a way to buy Steem Power with SBD that you have gained or merely invest additional money to buy Steem Dollar, then power up into Steem Power.

Tips or Tricks ?

You may find if yourself in facebook that users are inviting steemian to join their group for vote for vote, follow for follow etc.. Are all these group legitimate or legal in Steemit? You will realize after a while that you get no result from these group of so called voters. Why ? Firstly, not all members in the group will return you a favor after you have upvoted their article. Some of the reason may due to the fact that their bandwidth has reached to a maximum for the day and forgot about it after the bandwidth has recovered.
