How to write a nice article in simple 5 steps!

STEP 1: SELECT YOUR TOPIC.
Choose a topic that you are interested and you know that others are interested too. If your topic is too broad, think of how you can narrow it. Be specific so that provide readers with good main points.

Brainstorm and do a draft. Avoid getting analytical and enjoy the process of sharing what you know about the topic. By doing a draft, you have already done the outline of your article. Take a short break before you go to step 2.

STEP 2: AUDIENCE’S NEEDS.
Imagine you are a reader.

• Read your own article to see whether you enjoy reading it.
• Adjust the article according to how you like an article to be like as a reader.
• Your targeted audience and whether you have addressed their needs.
• Have you answered the issue in the article that you wanted to address.

STEP 3: DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.

Research will make your article reliable and supported with convincing evidence.
Things that you can include:

• Statistics from other well-established research.
• Information by reputable people.
• The actual definitions depending on your topic.
• Personal experience/encounter by yourself or someone else.
• Quotes and examples from popular books on the topic.
• Provide useful hyperlink to more information about the topic.
• References to past event or upcoming events.

Insert your research result to the different main points in your article to support your stand.
Don’t force them in if they do not flow well into your article.

STEP 4: MAKE IT MORE SPECIFIC

Is your article thorough and straight to the point?

Don’t dwell in the same point in great length. Keep it simple and easy to read.
Your readers should know exactly your suggestions and ideas.
Lengthy or too technical words usually make us give up on reading actually.

STEP 5: Get a critical friend.

Read it to your wife/husband/friend and get their opinion.
Refine according to his/her suggestion.
Your article should be good enough to be posted after step 5.
