Slowly it rose

Slowly it rose,
Through dawn and demise,
Slowly it grows,
Through light and cloudy cries.

A piece of nature so pure,
That it's invisible to men,
And I would not be sure,
If I would ever see it again.

The trees and flowers hid it for long,
Thinking that no one would ever find it there,
But like all once are, they were bloody wrong,
And its tips grew far into the air.

Then it swiftly made its way out,
Bursting through its mother's walls,
And it kept saying how doom was about,
But whilst running away, she falls.

Her leaves turn into a beautiful array,
Of colours admired through the year,
But she does not admire that for more than a day,
Putting away all her fear,
And making her way through the jungle so dense,
Her species made her her personal fence.

But she would not be contained,
Over her would not be reigned,
Her outer beauty masks it perfectly,
The evil that lures deep inside,
An inside that no one would want to see,
An inside that says "FIGHT!".

With Spirit of the Forest they refer to her,
But don't let the name deceive your brain,
Anyone who's fought with that, doomed they were,
For all in her sight she has slain.
