My First 50+ Days

banner 2.PNG

How’s it going fellow Steemians. I can’t believe I already hit my first 50+ days on the platform! I know I’m in it for the long haul from what I’ve seen so far.

I’m not looking to make this lengthy or anything, more of just some bullet points of current thoughts on what I’ve been doing, what I’m looking to improve on, and what I’m moving forward with. Any comments, suggestions, or thoughts are much appreciated! As my page and content grow, it will evolve over time and will respond to community feedback.

Steemit thoughts so far

  • I feel like I’ve gotten so much more out of this platform in this short time compared to what I would get out of facebook today or other forms of social media.

  • Searching through endless amazing photos and getting to know some of the community can be much more personal than let’s say what Instagram can be. Some of the content on here is truly amazing and it opens up an opportunity for these artists to express themselves and showcase their work.

  • While I’ve been here and browsing before I joined, I’m learning more and more about the community, site, what they have planned for SMTs, and more. I’m interested in this technology they are adapting and how this platform is changing the way people see the future.

  • I’ve learned a decent amount about various cryptocurrencies during my stay and am still learning daily. Special thanks to @taskmaster4450 and others that are constantly sharing information on these topics and engaging with the community, it's helped my crypto understanding tremendously.

  • I appreciate the integration between Steemit, d.tube, d.live - just to mention a few. As an outlet for my gaming videos and reviews, this provides a flexible way to display my content whether it’s on Steemit, d.tube, d.live, or a combination.

  • As I get to populate my Steemit page and contribute to the community, I appreciate the opportunity to grow together with some of the communities out there. As an example for gaming, keeping up with some of the #steemgc posts has me very optimistic that the gaming community here is growing and will continue to grow exponentially.

  • I’ve come across various “feuds” between some influential and non influential people and the grey areas of some of these “feuds” and the drama and it all intrigues me as it seems people are writing their own form of what they think the rules/steemit should be.

  • I have mixed feelings about bots. I appreciate @cheetah and the bots that go around cleaning up the site ensuring quality and genuine content rather than plagiarism or content that’s not adding value to Steemit, the blockchain, or the community.. but then again there are other bots that go around spam posting comments all day long and others that can be more harmful then helpful.

  • On my posts, I flag any irrelevant bots/spam/begging comments/etc. I’m looking to represent quality in my posts, and contribute to the community.

  • As time goes on, I’m getting a chance to learn more about those I’m following as well as those who are commenting on my posts. As I learn what’s working and what isn’t I’ll be sure to adjust my posts accordingly.

My Steemit

  • I get a chance to bring my gaming persona to this platform and share my reviews, montages, and more with the community.

  • By going through tags like #steemgc and #gaming, I’m getting a chance to explore amazing gaming content from others and interact with them.

  • I’ve been doing my Dérive series which is now at Episode 005 and I’ve been enjoying sharing these driving trips with you and sharing a sample of some of the music I like.

  • Through a couple of my posts, I’ve started to compare some Crypto ideas and Economic terms and basics to some gaming economics on various games like Runescape and Neverwinter to help put some of these ideas into relatable terms and context.

Moving forward

  • More reviews! I’ve played hundreds of games and I want to share my experiences and thoughts with the community at large. If I can help make a decision about picking up a game or avoiding it altogether, I feel like I’m doing my part.

  • In addition to my hyperlapse driving videos, I will be doing some more hyperlapse videos with music with game related content soon.

  • Dilute the gaming. I don’t plan on slowing down with the game related content but I do plan on showing more architecture and design related content as well as more slice of life posts like my trip to Tolino Vineywards.

  • I’ve only posted Nature Breaking Through so far for my architecture side to start off but am excited to share more content from my architectural trips and adventures.

  • Post more! I have a Derive video that drops every week and I try to post a few things when I can throughout the week, but I have so much more I want to post! Especially more quick reviews like March Gaming.

  • Finally, my biggest goal passively while I’m here would be to promote positivity, promote betterment of others (of self, craft, etc), and try to help raise others whichever way I can. There’s a lot of great talent and content on this platform and I’m looking forward to diving into it, giving credit where credit is due, and helping contribute to the community.

One last thing, huge shout out to @nwjordan for showing me this amazing platform, taking me along for the adventure, and showing me the ropes. Can’t thank him enough for introducing me to this great opportunity. Definitely go check out his Steemit and content, you won't be disappointed.

Until next time steemit fam,

-Scruffy

Hello Steemians!

Great post and congratulations. It's been only a short time, but it seems like so long as well. I agreed with your points and especially like the part about your goals.

...my biggest goal passively while I’m here would be to promote positivity, promote betterment of others (of self, craft, etc), and try to help raise others whichever way I can.

I have a lot of ideas and need to rework my content schedule again, but the technology and community hopefully will be a huge support in our craft, hobby, and many collaborations.

Onward towards 100+ days. :D

Thanks man. Between the community supporting us and eachother I'm ready to look forward to the future of steemit as it's ever evolving. It's crazy to think that there's still much ahead for our steemit adventure when it's already such a flexible platform, letting you have a blog, post some of your adventures with dlive like that rave you were at lol or even dtube/dsound for some of the other content. Let's see what's in store for us next!

D.Porn and D.Hentai is next haha.
