Lost 350.00 USD on PILLAR TOKENsteemCreated with Sketch.

PILLAR-2.jpg

I invested 350.00 into PILLAR PROJECT pre-release.

I've since contacted them 4 times and got No Support.

I was part of JSNIP4's group and I thought we were important, but clearly I was mistaken.

After 3 attempts for support, 5 days later, today, they finally sent an email showing people how to see their Token in their My Ether Wallet.

I followed these steps and NOTHING IS THERE.

After comparing the address numbers, I found that somehow the last character in the address is CAPITALIZED.

Should be a " b " and it's a B instead. Otherwise it's exactly same.

their address: 0x8476e3ddf311da3e47b76d99f624635c1db8708b

Not sure how that happened with a copy paste, of course i was very nervous as I am a disabled iraq veteran with bad vision and have no regular income, and I have never done anything like this before.

I lost 350.00 + 350 free tokens for participating with the JSNIP4 group.

Out of 3 SOS emails, 1 was responded to, it just said, see our Newsletter.

I got ZERO SUPPORT directly from the CEO, David Siegel ( or his staff ).

Does anyone have ANY CLUE how long it takes for someone like me to save up 350.00 ????????? It's almost forever...

Anyone, Please Help.

I don't know what, maybe write David and ask him to help me figure this out.

I feel like I'm lost if not for the help of my Steemit community.

David said during a JSNIP4 interview he would make some people whole after they tried to jump the sale early and lost their money.

I followed the rules and basically did everything right, only I feel he is avoiding me, in that no one has stepped up to even look at the problem.

Very Sad. Anyone, Please Help.

Sincerely, Roger

UPDATE: David just replied for a second time stating to SEE THE NEWSLETTER.

  • Again, ABSOLUTELY NO SUPPORT from PILLAR.

PLEASE NOTICE:
Maybe I don't know how to read these things:

  1. but image 1 says i sent it correctly,
  2. image 2 seems to show the last character as a B, and not a b,
-so HELL - I don't know what the HELL is going on...
-bottom line is I didn't get any tokens, so I lost my Money.

And what's worst, there is NO SUPPORT forthcoming from PILLAR.

Sort:

The latest video from David and information in their newsletter states that they are swamped and cannot at this time provide customer service.

I was part of the JSNIP4 group that signed up for the pre-sale. It was over in 34 minutes. I did not have a chance to participate.

When the public sale happened, I was up at 2 a.m. (local time) ready to participate. I did not make the purchase until I could verify the send-to address via two different sources (the web-page and their newsletter e-mail). That did not happen until 30 minutes later. Even then, I checked the address twice after cutting and pasting it. I am always double checking and triple checking addresses before confirming the sending of funds.

It is a hard lesson to learn. Whenever, you send funds you need to double check and even triple check the address. This is especially true when you are excited to send the funds. I know I was excited to participate in my first ICO offering.

I would urge you to pursue this with David after the fervor of the ICO is over. After watching multiple interviews and talks by David, he seems like a person that wants to do right by people.

To help you out a bit, I will send you a small donation of what I can spare of SBD. You can trade them through Blocktrades into other crypto-currencies like ETH.

Steem on,
Mike

Oh, I saw your generous gift, and was trying to figure out how to thank you, then I realized you had commented. I do really appreciate your support and Gift. You are Good People and i appreciate you.

It's just frustrating, I'd hoped to reach David and at least 2 times have gotten a canned response, See Newsletter, and the thing is, that in no way shape or form addresses anything, So completely frustrated with Pillar.

Thank you again Mike.

You are very welcome for my small tip to try to help out.

I am fairly certain that one day I will accidently send some funds to the wrong address too!

I do think you should try to reach out to David after the ICO ends. They are extremely busy with a small overwhelmed volunteer staff. That is one of the reasons for the ICO, so that they can have a dedicated staff for the Pillar project. I am sure they are getting bombarded with lots of questions and issues. Things will definitely calm down for them a little this week, probably Wednesday or Thursday.

Please let me know what you hear (if anything) by the end of the week. I'll be looking for your reply.

Steem on,
Mike

Mike, did you see the amendment I made to my post, at the bottom, seems like I did send to the right place, I'm not experienced enough with this stuff. David could easily delegate someone to help us, didn't he just make something like 40 Million dollars or whatever ?

This is why I am so insecure about this, I have no reason to believe I'll ever hear from him after trying to reach him 4 times.

But the address is correct in image 1... Am I reading this wrong or something ?

The pre-sale address I have from the newsletter is
0x8476e3ddf311da3e47b76d99f624635c1db8708b

The PRE-SALE is OVER --- DO NOT USE the above address Just wanted to make that clear.

The numbers and letters are correct, but the capitalization of some of the letters is wrong. Not sure how that happened.

When I checked my transaction for the sale (not the pre-sale), my "to" address matches exactly including the upper and lower case letters.

You transaction screen shot above indicates the ETH was transfered to another ethereum address and not a smart contract.

Here is a screen shot of one of the transactions associated with the Pillar pre-sale:

trx.PNG

Note the lower case letters in the "To" address of the completed transaction. I would think the use of upper and lower case letters makes a difference. But I am not an expert.

@rogerwilson, a point of curiousity: Have you checked the "Tokens" tab in MyEtherWallet to see if the tokens transferred? OR have you followed the instructions for displaying the PLR tokens in your MyEtherWallet?

The reason I ask, if the upper and lower case letters do not matter, then maybe you do have the tokens you purchased.

Steem on,
Mike

Pillar UPDATE:
Did you get shorted on your Pillar Tokens too ?
https://steemit.com/pillar/@rogerwilson/pillar-tokens-missing-tokens-from-your-order-too

Glad you got your tokens.

As explained to you in your comments to your post, the "Pre-sale" was 0.0005 ETH per PLR token. Since you were part of the pre-sale, you got 1 extra token for every 10 you bought. Congratulations!

Steem on,
Mike

A also participated in the Pillar project. I missed the presale, so I don't have any experience with it. I bought at the official ICO and all the coins are there.

Yesterday I saw a live Pillar meet up on Youtube. The tokens from the presale ICO are not in the wallets of the customers yet. It has something to do with the smart contracts. They needed to change the original smart contract to make the presale happen. They need to check every original address from where the Ethereum were send and distribute the tokens manually. That takes some time. They asked specifically not to email them, because they cannot handle all the traffic from the hundreds or maybe even thousands of people. Everyone will be informed via the newsletter. If you did not subscribe to the newsletter, make sure you do by visiting their site.

I'm sorry man! Definitely going to follow, resteem, and upvote. Thank you for your service!

Damn that sucks, you always have to double, triple check the address your sending it too, or else you will lose your money forsure. And im pretty sure your not the only one this has happened too, im sure david mentioned that if pillar reaches their hardcap then some people will be reimbursed depending on the situation. Its probably not the best time right now for david but im sure once the ico ends you will recive another email from them.

Please see Image 1, I think I did send it to the right address.

Damn that sucks man. 100% vote from me.

You've been UpVoted via the UpVote Experiment 002 Bot. Depending on my VP & the price of STEEM you should get a $.01-$.03 for your trouble.

Hi @rogerwilson.
I sent you a response here: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@freeinthought/pillar-token-ico-sale-today#@freeinthought/re-rogerwilson-re-freeinthought-pillar-token-ico-sale-today-20170716t173056484z

Good luck but I think you are actually OK. They seem like an honest bunch there. This sale has been a lot for them to handle but I think they are going make sure things are good for everyone. I hope.

I found it, THANK YOU... I hope you are right. Makes since to me that you are.
-FOLLOWED YOU... I'm grateful for folks like you here on Steemit... PEACE

Have you tried adding pillar as a custom token?

Go to add custom token and put in the address that you sent your ether to, for decimal put 0 and for token name put plr. You should your balence in plr.

The e-mail sent by Pillar @tdotgto said to use 18 for the decimal placed. Are you from Toronto btw?

@rogerwilson, I would use 18.

Did u buy during the sale or presale? And yes im from toronto.

@tdotgto I bought during the normal sale. I missed out on the pre sale by a couple minutes.

I was lucky enough to get in, as soon as i saw the email i sent my ether lol

I tried. I was at work and planned to but got sidetracked and saw it about 25mins after the email came. I took a few minutes to carefully read and re-read the instructions which proved to be a mistake. Oh well, got some now.

I really like the vision they have. It could be the next step in evolution of internet and personal device tech. But time will tell.

No I'm in Texas.

@rogerwilson, I was actually asking @tdotgto. His name is slang for Toronto. But I love Texas, only been to Dallas though. One time for a short visit only. :)

There was a Pillar email today reminding Pre-Sale token buyers to sit tight to receive your tokens. So I still think you are in good shape.

@rogerwilson, No. I wasn't.

But I missed the pre-sale. I joined the general sale. So I didn't get any bonus tokens.

The tokens were sold at 0.005 ETH. And according to how much ETH I transfered I received exactly what I was owed. For for example if you sent 1 ETH you should get 2,000 PLR (1 / 0.0005).

So I imagine that if you gave 1 ETH you should receive 2,200 PLR if you were in on the pre-sale.

I hope it all gets figured out for you soon. :(

yea, it's over, it's just I don't get what I was told I would get, the end.

Please See Follow-up / Update:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@rogerwilson/fyi-details-about-your-pre-sale-pillar-token
-important info for Pillar Pre-Sale investors.

I bought during the presale and i can see my tokens on myetherwallet. Try adding custom token, for decimal put 0, token name PLR and address you sent your ether too. Let me know if this works.

oh, I'm going to try that now, I'll let you know...

Nope, I still don't see any pillar, but they said I shouldn't be able to as of yet.

I have some Ether set aside for this but am waiting for more info

If you buy now, you will be buying a new contract, same price, just not the pre-sale,
what that means to you is you will get your tokens almost immediately.

What I learned today is it's only the pre-sale tokens that are delayed and there is a valid reason for that which isn't relevant at this point.

Bottom line is I have received a confirmation on my order, and therefore I have to encourage you to get your PLR before the price changes. They have confirmed I'll be getting my tokens and you should be getting yours too.

PEACE

I read somewhere that the pre sale tokens won't be available until after the main sail.
I too have an issue. I took part in the pre sale and also the main sale and this morning I managed to see my 3000 tokens in myetherwallet but tonight I checked again and nothing is showing now. I wasn't hacked because my other tokens are fine. I went to 'add custom token' and filled out the details and nothing is showing, not even a zero

@dave593, This may be a silly thing to say, but I didn't see anything until I double clicked on the PLR symbol after adding the coin.

I'll try that later but when I did it this morning, they showed up without pressing the PLR.
