PILLAR TOKENS - Missing Tokens from your Order too ?steemCreated with Sketch.

Hello Steemtopia,

So it's been 8 days since the PreSale of Pillar Tokens.

Many emails back and forth regarding purchase because there was no order confirmation or acknowledgment of any kind.

Finally today, 8 days later, we get an email saying where and how to find them in myEtherWallet.

Only now I'm missing almost 200 tokens. What to do ?

Write for Support ? No you can't do that,

David Siegman ( CEO ) is the only one who responds 99% of the time and he only gets pissed off and instructs you to go back and read the Newsletter.

I must have gotten 5+ of those when neither his newsletter nor his response addressed the issue.

At that time, the issue was trying to get any form of confirmation the order wasn't lost to cyberspace, fat finger or whatever.

Toward the end, he did say I would get them, but then when finally I did i was missing almost 200Tokens.

  • they were suppose to be .10 cents each,
  • THEY WERE NOT .10 CENTS EACH...
  • You can see below that I bought 349xx worth,
  • and was promised 1 free for every 10 I bought,

PILLAR TRANSACTION PROOF.jpg

SO, I should have ABOUT 3900,

But I only received 3,707.

I gathered as much from what I found in the wallet Yesterday, I tried to get an answer yesterday on this and was told to wait for todays Newsletter.

Then today I find I was right, I only got 3,707 Tokens out of the 3900 I bought.

To say the roll-out of Pillar was anything less than a Train-wreck that managed to get over the finish line is a GIFT.

I am not positive how I will proceed with this issue, true Support where they understand the complaint, take action to resolve anything, or give you a meaningful response is basically non-existent from Pillar.

At one point David said in an email,
He had over 2000 people " like you " with problems....

  • well Dr. David, is that a reflection of Me, or is it a reflection of YOU
  • and YOUR Roll-out ?

I guess I could liquidate all my tokens and wash my hands of it, but what else ???

Who else found that they received less than they bought or was promised for patronizing the PRE-SALE ???

Am I the only one who was SHORTED ?

@rogerwilson,
You sent 1.685 ETH so I would expect you receive:

1.685 / 0.0005 (the sale price in ETH per token) = 3,370
10% Bonus presale of 3,370 x 0.10 = 337

TOTAL tokens = 3,707

So it looks correct to me. I think you are making the mistake of looking at everything in USD$. PLR was sold in terms of ETH not USD.

I hope this helps you.

That is correct. This is also what they said on the website. No errors here.

In the email newsletter they sent out before the sale they also said 0.0005 there per PLR. You got exactly what you paid for.

Hi, thank you for your comment.
It was explained to us as .10 cents per token.
that's why I spent 350 and expected 3500+350.

If JSNIP explained it wrong in the video conference with Dave,
I feel Dave should have corrected him and then I would
have been confused and wouldn't have invested.

But I bought under one pretense, I received under another.

Regardless, I appreciate your expertise and working the math for me.

It's just not what was presented in the early video interviews I watched
on Youtube with Joe and David.

I think @freeinthought is correct. You received even 10% extra tokens. Don't be nervous. The chance you make great returns on your investments is big. Just sit back and relax. Everything will be alright.

thanks Bro, I know you are right.

thanks Bart...

Ya right he works for Lykke coin that has the same idea. He writes articles for Lykke. It looks like they just took the same idea and made new coin out of it to make more money. Either way I am done with Lykke and anything involved with their company.

thank you for applying your crypto math,
I'm sure you are right,
I have allot more to learn in crypto, math included.

It's just it was presented in terms of .10 cents each to us on youtube in the interview between Joe and David, Kinda feel like david should have said something back then, maybe I wouldn't have invested.

The 10 cents was about right. Everybody understands what 10 cents represents. Most people have no idea what 0.0005 ETH is.

thanks for understanding Bart...

At the time Jsnip4 did his video Ethereum was about 200 bucks or about 10 cents per token. Just remember that USD means nothing to the cryptos, most are priced in BTC.

thank you, I'm getting that, but when you have no crypto, all you have is USD, and they were talking about USD, well ... you're expecting equivalent to USD.

It was confusing, but I am glad to see you did get them, afterall. I think it was explained wrong, by someone, and like wakeupnd said, it was based on the etherium price at the time of purchase. If it does what it is supposed to, you will probably be very happy.

it should be just fine :)

C'on, before making such a drama all the time you should really read and understand what you're doing. You're giving PILLAR really bad press here and in your other posting where you claim to have lost all your funds to PILLAR. Both time you were wrong and if you would have read and accepted their regular and frequent communications you would have been well informed all the time. They stated the whole process and also said, that they cannot answer 6,000 mails in a day and also wrote clearly, that the people who participated in the first pre-sale receive their tokens manually later. I think it's time for an apology. And a good one. Next time please don't participate in an ICO - or change your attitude. Sorry, needed to be said.

you seem to be the only perpetuating anything. I'm not going back and digging up the videos, plural, but it was pitched as .10 each, now go away, I'm over this, I'll be selling these tokens shortly. Please just go away.

The ONLY reason I participated is the Videos David did with JSNI4 and they said .10 cents each. Enough said already, because technically David should have straitened that out and he did nothing.

So Frankly, that had to be said. I mean you jump in the conversation at the end without reading any dialog leading up to it, screw off dude. I didn't come here to be your friend or your rival, we have our dialog and it doesn't have to include you..

I would not have said anything if that would have been the first outburst. One thing you have to realize here is, that you're posting on a public blockchain. Your words stay. And you're blaming good people who did nothing wrong, harming them with your impatience. So my question was, does this guy learn anything? Seems not, so here is just a little reminder, that you might want to do things differently next time and first make 10 deep breaths or meditate for 5 minutes or whatever helps your blood to cool down a bit.
To not only criticise and give you the attention you deserve I took the time and read your story. I got a feeling why you're overreacting sometimes. So, I also apologize if you feel I was a bit harsh. You had it tough and I wish you all the best. Good luck buddy. Never give up.

Edit: If JSNI4 said something that lead to a misunderstanding, then it is not the fault of PILLAR. They never advertized 10 cents. So you cannot blame them for that. Blame JSNI4 for not being clear on that issue. I also saw that video and if I recall it correctly he stated the price in ETH and added "this is basically 10cents right now". And then he went on with the 10cents comparison - probably assuming, that everyone understood, that this is just an estimation, as the real price is always calculated in ETH.

just as long as you feel better now, that's what counts,

Now can we put this to rest, I'm still selling the tokens, and
I will continue to reply to my commenters, but it's you whos
perpetuating this, I'm just trying to be polite, but if you took
second to look, I was trying to move away from this, telling people
you live and learn,

I even told someone I accepted the math a steemer did and said it was right,
You didn't read that part did you ?

Thanks to you this thing can live on though, Nice Job.

That's my boy. You got that correct now. It's my fault you're freaking out. Case closed.

I think the problem here is not that you were shorted but rather that people shouldn't be pushing ICOs on people that don't understand cryptocurrencies. I hate regulations and the government telling us how to live our lives but when we circumvent all that we do face a risk of people selling inappropriate investments.

I hope it all works out well for you in the end and you make a lot of money and I thank you for your service to our country.

thanks BlackSerpent, yea it's over, it is what it is. maybe I'll sell them soon, just want to move onto something else. Bad taste in my mouth from pillar rollout,

i bought in the presale and received the 20%. i agree with you that the project ico was unpolished however the project is moving ahead. it will be an interesting project to watch or better yet to be apart of.

They short me. They advertise the 10% bonus. But they did not honer it. i spoke to then m. every get the same think. This is false advertising.

well if it makes you feel any better there were allot of us that felt ripped off.
the numbers didn't add up based on how they proposed it before we bought.

now others on steemit are saying the math is right.
So I have chosen to believe them,

but you live and learn... me too...

The numbers add up perfectly, exactly like advertized. 0.0005 ETH price for one token. For every 10 token bought you received one extra (in the pre-ico bonus sale ONLY, which happened few days before the ICO). What is there false advertizing? How much ETH did you transfer and how many tokens did you receive?
ETH and every other cryptocurrency has huge volatility towards the US$. Any calculation in US$ in any cryptocurrency is just a price for right now and a broad estimation for future prices and was never advertized as fixed price in US$.
