Steemit Meetup San Diego (SMSD)
We are getting closer to the date of the planned meetup in San Diego and It is time for an update.
Date: Sunday, March 4, 2018
Time: 2 PM
Location: Old Town San Diego

We are going to meet right in the middle at the grassy area with the flagpole. This might not be the most private place, but it is easy to find and we can always move.
There are maps like that all over Old Town. Also, look for this landmark
You should be able to see that from just about everywhere in the area.
I will be close to this rock
And will bring a tarp and some blankets. But we can try to snatch these benches.
We settled on this location because it is close to the freeways and easy to reach by public transportation. The train/trolley station is right there.
If you come from LA, Santa Barbara or San Clemente - it is a beautiful train ride. Make sure you exit at Old Town. Or, if you end up downtown, a trolley will get you right there.
From the transit station, cross the street and walk towards this sign
Then make a right and we are right there.
If you come by car, there is parking at the transit station and all over Old Town.
Rain
The weather forecast is promising rain for Saturday. We all know how that goes - maybe - maybe not. In case of rain, we move the show to one of the many restaurants and cafes in the area.
If that happens, I will leave a comment on this post and make a quick post about the change.

I want a local steem community that can help each other cash out, imagine steem for ebt LOL :D
imagine when we help people buy groceries with steem or imagine helping give cash to people with steem/SBD for a 5-7-10% fee to make it worth while, OR even make money SELLING steem/SBD (Teach my local people to convert steem/SBD to Bitcoin on steem via blocktrades.us and once you have bitcoin you can sell that for a Premium and so basically no matter what when you have your steem/SBD and you want to cash out, it IS worth something, you can always sell it for a profit! Especially now that Bitcoin fees are down to 80 cents!
We need local networks of people using the uber clones Rideshare app that lets you pay with btc, we can add steem and make an uber type system for steemians that lets them make steemit posts of their uber type rides to earn MONEY getting rides on steem uber !
I Even want to have a Bitshares Casino Sportsbar Arcade where you can use a Bitshares account to buy Crypto for people and let them trade it live with cash while they drink and eat at the bar and have the coin prices live on HTDV with the prices, make all transactions via Bitshares :D
I hope you will make it. I wanted to start something like that - well, have a place where people can learn together how to maneuver on this platform and also about crypto in general. And I wrote a big post for Steemusa about the potential I see for people to leave behind poverty and homelessness and and and..... Would love to make that a reality!!

I wished I had seen this earlier. We really would have loved to meet up with you. We were a group of 16 and many are interested in meeting on a regular basis and to do some Steemit 101.

No but we'd be a good location. London is smack between Lexington and Knoxville. And the Niagara Falls of the south is just down the street. We could probably get at least 2 people to show. Me and mine ;-)

ummm not until the heat of summer ... i got plans ... Might could wedge it in around the end of September ... yeah ... like when we are usually tent camping anyway. But yeah ... we can talk about it.
