4 Be on the same page.
Because you speak Latin doesn’t mean you know how to speak and because you took a vow doesn’t mean you know how to love. A lot of people speak without communicating and for lovers, you need to effectively communicate and meet at a level ground; find common ground.
Strive to always be on the same page and this requires a huge amount of sacrifice. You have to sacrifice your will just to see the other person’s perspective. A lot of the time, as singles we have been used to having our ways and doing things our ways, and now with another person in the fold, we still want to continue with our single ways; it cannot work. ”Can two walk together except they agree?” - Amos 3:3.
You cannot inculcate your single ways into your relationship life. You are not expected to love the other person in your own language but in the language that person understands. To be on the same page in a relationship requires a lot of effort, sacrifice and self-denial. It is not always about who is right, but about seeing things in other perspectives and if or when that thing fails, don’t point accusing fingers just to absolve yourself. Maybe you weren’t so sure too, if not you would have stated your case and allow the person to see things in your own perspective. Approach matters.
