3 Don’t marry a child of God, but a son of God.
There is a huge difference between a child and a man; between an heir and a slave. Before you determine who you want to spend the rest of your life with, know how much of God that person knows. My friend shared her story with me on how her boyfriend sees everything wrong with those who go to Church to worship. It might be a personal experience the guy had but then I told her to be careful and reconsider being with that guy. She told the guy and the guy said he would start going to Church for her and I still told her to be careful. Why? You don’t go to Church or you are not supposed to know God because of another person, you need to know him for yourself.
The truth is life challenges will come and when you both have varying beliefs, it’s hard to get out of such a situation on time. You both need to be on the same page; in fact, you both need to be reading the same book. Life will throw challenges at you, situations will threaten you and that is not a curse. Life happens. You see and experience a lot in relationships and as earlier discussed, you need to have a third eye; the spiritual eyes.
It is one thing to quote the Word of God and it is another thing to know what it means and understand the depth of the Word. How much of God’s Word is in the heart of that young lady or young man? Always remember that whoever is willing to compromise a standard for you will definitely do the same without you; against you.
