There is a huge difference between speaking and communicating and everyone in a relationship needs to understand this; particularly men who like to flex their muscles and claim the ground because they don’t want their ego to be bruised.
A lot of marriages failed because they have stopped doing what they were doing during courtship. You know that desire you have to impress during courtship; going to the movies, having a good laugh, going on a candle-light dinner, etc. is now missing during marriage due to more work schedules, more responsibilities, little or no extra time to spare. In other words, life happens and some men failed to do those things. These tiny things are capable of leaving cracks in the home because she has been used to it and suddenly it stopped and without explanations too; even though she can see it.
The issue with this is that we always feel the need to impress was when we were courting and it shouldn’t be again since she is now ours; that is wrong. You don’t have to do something huge. Sometimes all she requires is just your presence. We focus too much on big things forgetting that every little bit helps. There is no time? That’s why it is called a sacrifice. Everyone can do it if it were easy but because it is not easy that’s why they call it sacrifice.
Look for a simple place to go to. Go to the movies, take a stroll down the street, hold her hands, kiss her publicly, assure her with words, take her to a hotel (if you can afford it), and make her feel young again. Ladies hate it when you make them feel old by not giving them the necessary attention they crave.
You don’t have to do something huge to impress her, don’t over-do it but let your warm thoughts accompany every kind act you show towards her. Ladies are not dumb; they can see and feel things.
