Let The Worst Moments of My Life Bring Out The Best In Me (An Original Poem)
I can’t drag myself out of bed
How can I go through this day?
Drained out in the depth of helplessness
To face the worst moments of my life
The pain will not go away
The tears will not stop flowing
I am feeling numb and in a daze
I am on the verge of insanity
My heart shattered into pieces
My life seems not worth living
Pushed to the edge of desperation
Clinging to the last bit of hope
That’s when I realized
The worst moments of my life
Can break me up and lead me to a breakdown
Or build me up for a breakthrough
When things are at its lowest point
The worst moments of my life
Can be the darkest hours of my life
Or the enlighten hours of a new beginning
Obstacles and challenges along the way
Although seem insurmountable
Can be my stumbling blocks
Or my stepping stones to success
For I embraced life fully
To be the best of me
I have the power to give meaning
To the events of my life.
Failure is an opportunity to do things differently
My weaknesses formed the foundations of my strengths
Hardship and difficulties make me stronger
And my worst moments, an opportunity for learning and growing
So let the worst moments of my life
Bring out the best in me
I wear my battle scars proudly
For that is whom I am meant to be
