What Happens, When It Happens? Just A Short Boat Trip Away From Australia (PART 8)

in #politics7 years ago (edited)

Australians live a care free life, when compared to most other peoples of this world. The education system, the health care systems, the social benefits systems, the general overall governmental departments and systems all seem to be in tact and functioning to a degree that is well above many others out there in this world.

Australia has natural wealth stretching from left to right, west to east, top to bottom, north to south, so much of it in fact that if managed properly could last for thousands of years and ensure an income that ensures this happy go and care free lifestyle that many if not most people on this earth could only dream about.

OK, enough about how Australia really is "The Lucky Country".

The above is opinionated, however after seeing a nice piece of this world and experiencing some parts first hand, day to day, I have good reasons to state such an opinion.

There are some things though that are a little concerning.
Such as:
WHY doesn't the average Australian know much about her/his neighbours up north of Australia?
WHY don't Australians get taught in school about our defence forces and those of our neighbouring countries?
WHY is it that most Australians do not have a clue as to what all is out there, only moments from our shore lines?

OK, this may sound like an intro to one of those conspiracy theory posts, but it's not.

This series of posts has been concentrating on the facts and nothing but the facts, listing the truth, with figures and sources to back it all up.

There is no reason WHY Australians shouldn't be well aware of their surroundings, their neighbours, the facts and figures as far as defence forces go.

This information is in fact something that all Australians should know, as we have seen many changes in the past century, from ideological totalitarian regimes changing, to the world wars, to the cold war and as we can see growing and becoming a common event the rise of ideological terror in all parts of this world.
Ideologies both religious and political have been around since who knows exactly when and they seem to just exchange in the world peace/war scene. So this is nothing new.
What is new though are the changes in the world scene now, from Europe heading to a total change during this century, to China, Australia and The USA having many a common interest and the list just goes on. The world as we knew it and still to some extent know it is going to look very different well before the end of this century.

However, there are so many facts and figures to put out there, that it would be totally irresponsible of anyone to just dump them all into one post and then expect anyone to be able to come to quality conclusions, let alone decisions.

Hence this step by step approach in this series of posts named "What Happens When It Happens".

In this post I shall be addressing two countries and their nations who are not listed on the table/chart of worlds best military forces. No neither one of these are considered to be super powers. However they are only moments away from Australia and as such are important to us. We need to know who we can rely upon in times of need, who can support us, whom we have to support when the situation is vice-versa.

MALAYSIA & SINGAPORE.

To get an idea of where they are on the map in respect to Australia:

So as you can see, we are talking about countries that are only moments away by boat or air!

I have used the same source as in earlier posts for the videos on their military forces and Wikipedia for the numbers:

Lets first have a look at Malaysia:

For those who don't want to watch the video, here are some of the relevant numbers:

Manpower

Military age 18 years of age

Available for
military service 15,000,000, age 18–49 (2017 est)

Fit for
military service 12,425,000, age 18–49 (2017 est)

Reaching military
age annually 520,000 (2017 est)

Active personnel 127,000

Reserve personnel 310,000

Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysian_Armed_Forces

Now lets have a look at Singapore:

Manpower

Military age 16.5 years of age

Conscription 18 years of age, 22- to 24-month period (compulsory)

Available for
military service 1,255,902, age 18–49 (2016 est.)

Fit for
military service 2,105,973, age 18–49 (2016 est.)

Reaching military
age annually 52,466 (2016 est.)

Active personnel 71,600 (incl. 45,800 conscripts)

Reserve personnel 1,386,000+ (2016 est.)

These numbers are in fact very interesting when compared to the numbers of the other nations just up north of Australia.

Likewise, it would be appropriate to take a look at their cultural/religious make up, so as to see how things stand in these countries and so that we can better understand things.

MALAYSIA

SINGAPORE

Maybe to some Aussies the cultural aspects which are heavily based upon religious morals may not play a role in the grand picture. All that I can say to these people is "INFORMATION", the better we are informed, the better we can understand things and the easier it is to come to conclusions and when necessary make the right decisions.

As this world as we know it changes, the importance of KNOWING THE TRUTH becomes more important.
Maybe it was easier during The Cold War era, West was West, and well.... the rest just didn't matter.

Many Aussies do not know for example that for a long time there just out side of Hawthorn in Melbourne was one of the first targets that the former USSR had for its nuclear missiles, in case of a new world war.
WHY?
Well all our radar information for many years was all going to the barracks there and our radar system was the best in the world, even The USA was dependent upon us for many years.

Kind of a disturbing piece of information there, especially for all the people in The City Of Melbourne, Australias second largest city!

Don't think that Sydney was left out, it just wasn't important as Melbourne (suburb of Hawthorn) so it would have got its rocket in the second or third strike.

Luckily the world has not yet come to World War Three and The Cold War as such can be considered to be "Over".

There are many facts and figures that most Australians do not know, like for example a fact that I consider to be very important and that is that all of these "world power rankings" that are presented to us are heavily dependent and based upon the total MANPOWER of a nation.
Why is this so important, well, so far in this series we have seen just how many of the nations around us have a nation of "MANPOWER" who have basic training in the fields of self defence and military know how.
Australia does NOT.

So when we look at things realistically and using only the FACTS that are out there, we should be able to consider many of the factors that we to date haven't looked at, mainly because they were never presented to us in any field of our lives.

Information and not "opinions" should be the basis for making decisions, especially when it concerns a nations well being.

A lot of information about Australia. What do you think about gynocentrism. Do you think the west will survive preoccupation with woman and men being cucks?

this is very interesting....keep it up

Don't get too dependent on the goverment because once that natural luck runs out there won't be any money for the free handouts. Jumps off soap box

Never knew we were dependent on you guys radar system. Props to you guys!

Yep, back in the day, during the cold war!
