What It Is (Original)

Before you, I was content
To float endlessly
Through this dimension of time,
A rogue traveler.
Carrying nothing but mind,
My parts connected
With naught but my intention
In my kind of peace.

But as surely as a storm
Takes with it the dust
You have scattered my pieces
And you have changed me.
It would seem I have grown whole
But I never knew
I was half to begin with
Ignorance was bliss.

And now together we move
Complimentary
Interdependent in space
With time to bind us.
And wherever we may go
It is what it is,
Our intention will guide us,
Each and every piece.
I especially love this stanza:
"It would seem I have grown whole
But I never knew
I was half to begin with
Ignorance was bliss."
Thank you very much
