The Last Revolution (Original)steemCreated with Sketch.

in #poetry8 years ago

When the mask has fallen away
And it's clear that we have changed
Do we break the mirror
Or stand there longer
To see ourselves
For what seems
The first
Time.

When the revolution has died
In making way for the next
Will we see they're the same?
Sung back to sleep
Til it's time
To cast
Votes.

It's only a reinvention
A change in our perspective
A change within ourselves
Rippled in the world
Carried on wind
And in each
One of
Us.

Change
Again
But each time
Hailed as different
And also righteous,
Not the insanity
Of chasing hope like windmills
Of chasing a just universe.

Let the revolution die
In needles and rockstars.

Give me reinvention or give me flames.

That's the second post in my feed this afternoon that talks about masks.

Wait. You mention only one: which one is that?

There must be something in the air ;)

I think it's a different mask for each of us, and more different still if we're speaking as nations.

There's definitely a serendipity in reading and writing, and in addition to there being something in the air, we can now say we're all syncing to the same blockchain.

I wandered lonely on a cloud
That sits on servers far and cold,
When all at once I met a crowd
Of happy writers steem'd in gold:
Daily syncing to the seam
Of blockchain wrapped in Dan's graphene.

Very good my friend / @ prufarch, congratulations.
I appreciate your valuable time in visiting and commenting on my post many thanks
