#7.4 - This is why you fail in love (Original Poetry)

I found out that love was a deal.
Give and take, else it would be repealed.
They say parents love us, and yes I believe,
because they expect support
when they grow elderly.

People say that they love me,
and in return, what me to agree,
to love them back, to the same degree.

but somewhere in my heart, I had a hope,
that love isn't an agreement
but something much more
maybe all I found, was just a lie
maybe it was made up,
and manipulated by the sly.

I could never know love,
if the Cupid didn't pierce me,
I could never know love,
until it blessed and cheered me.

I could never know, that love is not a mutual concession.
Love is not afflictive, love can't be a reason of depression.

But instead love can only open doorways to heaven,
teach you the way of life and teach you, a million lessons.

When it struck me, it open my eyes.
I found, love never takes back,
it only provides.
Love never pains, it can only bless.
Love only gives joy and it can never stress.

What stresses you is YOUR OWN desire.
What pains is your ego, getting burnt in fire.
what disturbs you is not the love for someone else,
instead it's the lack of attention
on which your ego dwells

Don't blame love for those tears raining
It's your expectations
that your eyes been draining
If you LOVED her, you would rather be happy
even if she leaves you, cheats you, or behaves bratty.

No matter what they do,
their actions can't change your love.
Because love cannot hate, love can only love.

Wanting something from someone, for yourself
you want them to love you, else you yell !!
You want them to behave like the way you expect,
not loving them for who they are
you love only when
YOUR image is what they reflect.

Making them do, what YOU prefer,
and if they speak their mind, you demur!!
How is it loving THEM, when it's YOU yourself
whom you want them to pretend.

You change them to behave, to think and speak like you,
How can you say you love her,
when it's your own image
that you want to view.

You say you 'WANT' him and call it LOVE,
you do it for your own happiness
and feed your ego enough
but still name it sincere affection,
how do you name it true-love and passion?

'Want' is selfish, don't you agnize
& love is selfless, kindly recognize !!
Your ego don't want to be called mean
and so you make a picture of yourself in someone else to love,
to show yourself clean.

You get addicted to someone, because you feel joy,
It's not anywhere related to love
It's same when a child plays with a toy,
He may say he love it, but actually he loves himself
and soon when he will get bored, he will choose to love another toy.

What the world is trapped into is not love, but attachment.
Love is a divine power.
which showers,
only flowers,
even after detachment.

Love do not change, even if the people do
love remains the same,
no matter if people give their best or if they screw.

To learn to love, look at the nature
how the birds take care of their babies
and fight every danger
still there is nothing that they expect,
they keep no condition, to support them back.

To know what is love, look at the trees,
they don't say a word
even if you kill them, or pluck all their leaves,
look at the river, look at the sky
providing you with water, helping you stay alive
and in return, it never demands
there are no conditions, no commands.

Can you love anyone,
the way nature loves you
Can you spread love to people,
even if they sucks you !!
Can you not 'WANT' anyone, but still remain happy?
Can you let people choose
someone else over you
and still not turn sappy?

No you can't, because you never knew that love is such,
you thought love should be something that satisfies YOU first,
But yes, you CAN, if you understand
that being selfish, is no offense.

Yes, it can teach you how to love,
if only you accept,
that you can't love anyone else,
until and unless, you love yourself.

And yes we all do,
we all love ourselves the most,
the only issue is that we deny,
we say that we don't.

You say you love someone, more than yourself,
it's highly illogical, it doesn't makes any sense.
If you can't love yourself,
no one will ever do
If you can't love yourself first, you cannot love someone else.

So let us TRULY love others this time,
By first being selfish, because that ain't no crime.
Let us love ourselves first and also ACCEPT it
then let us aurify our definitions of love,
let us all CORRECT it.
