My Tiny Garden - Kalanchoe blossfeldiana
I am pretty sure most of you know this plant. It is the most common Kalanchoe that you can get in a supermarket as a small plant with big, green, glossy leaves and a bouquet of small flowers in the middle.
Nikon D5500 + Sigma 105 (f/11, 1/160, 105mm, ISO100)
I suppose my one would still look like that (green and glossy) if I kept it inside in mild conditioned and lots of water.
Nikon D5500 + Sigma 105 (f/11, 1/160, 105mm, ISO100)
Nikon D5500 + Sigma 105 (f/18, 1/100, 105mm, ISO100)
But those are succulents. And I keep all my succulents outside on the balcony. Where they get all the sun, rain, wind and temperature changes. Those changes make stress the plants and the leaves change the colours. Don't worry, it is nothing bad for the plant. This is just what they do in nature.
That's the whole plant. It's small, but super cute!
Growing happily next to it's red and white sister.

Even a popular Jade plant will do it if you keep it outside on the sun and wind. The edges of the leaves will go gorgeous and red.

I have never seen this before. I think it is not common in Turkey. I will buy one if I see in a market. I have another kind of succulent, I guess it is going to bloom I am very curious. What do you think about it?
It looks like Sempervivum. Very pretty one too!
And it is growing lots of little babies around :) Soon they will grow tin roots and you will have lots or little rosettes.
Put it in a sunny spot. It likes lots of sun, not too much water and it will be happy :)
Thank you for tips :)
yes, please promote me for a moment
This is new to me but I like it 😃
I am sure you know this plant!
Google it :)
Beautiful! I had one and he did not survive ... Then I bought again - and again did not survive ... Now the same do not buy - it means it's not meant to be!
Gave me a baby of a different kind of Kalanchoe. It grows great! He even gave me 2 scion! I attach the photo (the photo is not mine), but I have exactly the same. It is called: kalanchoe luciae
Yes I have this one too. It is a lot bigger than Blossfeldiana. Mine didn't bloom yet, but I know that after it blooms it will die.
Oh! I do not know ... It's a pity, but at what age does it blossom? So we must leave the shoots. And I was going to give them away. Now I will give 1, and 1 I will leave it to myself.
P.S. I was wrong ... My Kalanchoe is called: kalanchoe luciae. Blossfeldiana is the flower that you have. Now I understand why my people died after flowering ...
P.S. Now I have found an article where they write that Kalanchoe luciae often dies after flowering ... :-(
Yes it does. But normally it grows little shoots around before it blooms, so you keep them :)
The mother plant dies, but they babies grow. My one has some little ones already. I don't know how old it has to be to bloom. It is not very big yet.
Kalanchoe luciae blooms at the age of 2-3 years.
Still some time then... Maybe next year.
Okay!
Very nice! :)
