Gently Down the Stream :: Beautiful Japan #70
The view doesn't get much better than this, folks!
Floating along in that boat is a costly, but popular way to enjoy the cherry blossoms. Each trip is about 20 minutes and ¥1000 (around 10 bucks). Er... well, it was that about 10 years ago when last I checked. These days that price may be higher.
At any rate, as nice as things look from that boat, they are almost better from the shore. There are few things nicer than just sitting down and enjoying lunch under the blossoms.
Do you want to use this photo in one of your projects? You can! See here for details.

I post one photo everyday, as well as a haiku and as time allows, videos, more Japanese history, and so on. Let me know if there is anything about Japan you would like to know more about or would like to see.

This looks lovely, so warm and sunny and the blossom looks so wonderful and fluffy almost. Since the UK has now turned into a frozen snowy wasteland, I'm appreciating all the warm pictures I can find!

I know the feeling. This is from a previous year — it is still cold and frosty here so I am trying to warm all of us with spring photos :) Thanks for the visit and comment.
Nice! But, where is this?
Upvoted and followed! For more of Japan :)
It's in Okazaki Japan. Thanks for the follow :) I post new photos of Japan at least a few times a week, as time allows.
I could use some beautiful scenery and cherry blossoms right now! We are still sub-freezing here in Minneapolis. Brr! The beautiful spring scenery is something to behold!
Ahh cold cold Minneapolis. I hope this shot could warm you up just a little!
Damn, the diffuse lighting on the building, this seems like a shot out of anime more than it looks like a photo, certainly one taken during daytime.
That slightly otherworldly look is because this is an HDR shot
Have the cherry blossoms begun already in Japan. They are just peeking out in here in Vancoucer,
They are just starting to. The kawazu blossoms have anyway, the someiyoshino are still a month and a half away. This photo is from a few years ago. Thinking warm thoughts on a cold winter day :)
Where in Japan are you?
Okazaki, a small town somewhat near Nagoya
