Sakura Jogging Path :: Beautiful Japan #63

in #photography7 years ago

Nothing like jogging under the sakura. A few months from now, it will look like this! I can't wait!

What jogging path could be better than one beneath the cherry trees? Those joggers down there must have been really enjoying their exercise on this day. I know I do!

When I first came to Japan, I never saw anyone jogging. In fact, I would get strange stares when I jogged. In the past few years, however, jogging has come to Japan. Maybe it's just a temporary fad, but I am constantly seeing joggers out and about these days. I wonder if it will last?

Now that is a beautiful jogging path!

It sure makes for great jogging for the week or two they last.

Jogging at beautiful place in Japan which is called Sakura Jogging Path.
I wish i were there for jogging how attractive this place is.

Oh, sakura how I miss you so.

I had a JET friend who would go jogging shirtless in the Kagoshima inaka. His runs caused quite a stir. I mean it was such a culture shock that the stories of his jogs carried over to me via my Japanese teacher colleagues.

haha I can imagine. One time when I visited my in-laws in the Tochigi inaka I had a pretty long beard. I'm told that for weeks the bearded gaijin was the topic of town conversation. Next time I visit I should grow my beard long again and go jogging shirtless.

Very beautiful picture. When you see flowering Sakura in Japan? When this happens and how long it lasts? Thank you for pleasant emotions, @dbooster

It depends on the weather, but in general the type of sakura in the photo above (called kawazu zakura) bloom around the end of February, and they will last about two weeks. They are wonderful!
