You know for sure you are in the Garment District of Manhattan if you come across this statue, it is a permanent statue at 555 Seventh Avenue between 39th and 40th streets and is by Judith Weller.

It depicts a man sewing a garment aand is an 8 Foot Bronze sculpture.

And just by the Statue is the ggiant needle threading a button.

That poor man looks so stunned and empty and robotic. That's an interesting piece of art, but there is just no joy in it at all. I look at that and see such a sad and wasted life. The rain-soaked paving stones just complete the whole image. I bet when he was five years old, this isn't how he pictured his life.
