As one of the 5 judges, and as an original artist also, I aim to represent the best original artists in this contest from our wonderful Steemit community. I am keeping my ears open for cover artists as well, don't worry but creating an original song is indeed impressive, especially if executed and performed well. Best of skill and performance to you all next week. This week had many many gems and wonderful music to heal the soul and move the hearts, and there were still many talented performers who entered, so forgive me if I didn't list you, I definitely heard everyone's entries. 1. @granaddiction's "Triste Mar" Original Song
I had to look up the lyrics in Google Translate after your performance and it is a beautiful song indeed, but aside from the well written original lyrics, that is only part of why I chose you to win. Your passionate singing and soulful performance shot you to the top of this list. On my first listen, you captivated all the way through, even though I had no idea what you were singing about. The emotions and how you carried your vocals with your strong guitar playing made this a moving and memorable entry. You have a lot of skills and I look forward to your next song.
2. @onetruebrother's "Let's Make Some Love" Original Song
I noticed you bringing more and more to the Open Mic with each entry and you just keep improving with what you reveal. This song is truly deep and meaningful. Your voice intonation and the feelings you convey with conviction really brought this song to life and it is filled with love to be shared amongst this world plagued by hatred, greed and jealousy. This definitely is for a daily playlist to remind us what is important and how we should treat one another. You sing really well, and your entire mannerisms and guitar playing added to the surreal effect of this impacting song. Thank you for this gift of inspiration.

3. @orianaarmand's "Mi Vestido Azul" Cover Song
You sing wonderfully and your voice is silk smooth to this cover song which you did really great on. The entire video was from start to finish enjoyable and you know how to give out your positive energy smiling while you sing out your musical talents and sharing your love for music. Keep up the high quality entries, you certainly set the bar high as well for your fellow competitors and you brought your best this week. 4. @meno's "Keep On Trying" Original Song
I really loved your motivation song man. It is crazy catchy and has been stuck in my head. You brought the momentum, starting off slow and quiet, and building your message and passionate feelings into a steamrolling tackle when you hit choruses. The only thing that bothered me, is that I felt once you had reached the pinnacle of your song with a powerful chorus, you didn't repeat it one or two more times to drive the message home, and you had let up on the gas pedal during the climax of the song a bit early, thus making me want to sing out Keep On Trying cause I didn't want the song to end lol So it is a good and bad thing, because you certainly have a great original song to share with us all, and I appreciate you releasing this gem here.

You, as well, are talented all around. Any song you perform just gets brought to light and life with your dedicated efforts. Your skilled voice make the songs seem effortless but your body language says otherwise, you are moved so much by the music that that same compelling feeling translates directly through your videos to us listeners. Your performances are getting better and better, and you have already showcased so much versatility. It is great to have you as one of our regular entrants because you give us many gems to look forward to. You sang this better than Ed Sheeran, yeah I said it. It happens lol

Yes I have seen him everywhere, and he truly gives his heart mind and soul to the community. I think that would be a great idea if he is willing to take up this challenging task along with us. He would be a proper addition to our team to keep Open Mic more successful and genuine

Hey thanks so much for your thoughtful review. I haven't done a lot of performing but this is one of my songs that always gets a response from people when I have played it. I really am inspired by the openmic tribe!
Side note ; this is my busiest time of the year when I do a two week project for a local business so I may not get around to an entry this week, but if not, I will return! Peace to all.
