Photo Journey Into the @gardenofeden! A Sustainable Life Based on Love.steemCreated with Sketch.

in #nature7 years ago (edited)

Most of my everyday I spend out on the land,
keeping the day-to-day aspects of community life in flow.
When I'm not out there, I'm on Steemit, sharing with this community some of the things
I find of value in my everyday existence.

Today I breathe in appreciation for the beauty that I experience,
and take you on a short photo journey with me into the Garden of Eden
intothegardenofeden.

Sprouting sunflower seeds - perfect for our nightly fresh garden salads.

Oh so much life!!!

A sprouting set-up created by a new-comer to the @gardenofeden.

@inokalrutz and Qinoku sharing the love.

A volunteer pumpkin near our pathway.  It's really great when food plants and grows itself!

The view from our outdoor kitchen nearing sunset.

A community meal in the works.

The lovely @saramiller picking sweet, delicious figs from one of our 4 fig trees.
So much abundance!!!
Sara is known most of all on Steemit for her
yoga wisdom.

The lushness of the garden --sunflowers (which are presently covering the land), shiso, moringa and a huge patch of mint.

Shiso (Japanese basil).  The original plant was gifted us by a neighbor, and is now popping up all over the land on its own.

The superfood Moringa.  As Moringa does not survive the freezes in our area, we cut the tree (which grows here to about 20' in one year) to the ground and mulch heavily.  Each spring, the tree re-emerges with an additional trunk sprouting from the ground on its own.  Now we have four trunks to this tree.

A very happy face in the garden.

We have many kinds of mushrooms growing all over--here are a few more of these beauties showing themselves at the @gardenofeden.

A sample of my everyday salad, which is not the same any day!!!

Thanks for taking a short walk with me through the @gardenofeden.
I'm grabbing my camera for another walk with you soon.

I hope the beauty in your life is worthy of a picture too.

Thank you, dear for this nice tour. I really felt the love and care you have for nature and your community! It is like all is shining through your photos and words and you can't just pass by... I also like your intuitive food alchemy. It is very interesting how out body knows a lot and can guide you to new and new experiments if you allow it to happen. Awe @sashagenji!!! What an incredibly beautiful comment. That really touched me. I'm glad that you can feel the love that comes through my lens. Photography was one of those things that amplified my love for everything. My gratitude is constantly expanding as I witnessing such grace. I am so grateful to share it with you! <3 Thank you for being.

Also this is a magnificent feeling image.....butterflies, wood, scrolley things, the green and natural colors, the fonts--OMG! It's just like you know me!! Blessed by such a loving gift!!!!! Thank you @sashagenji.

I think people can relate to people even if they do not know each other in reality%) I would imagine this being you and this why I chose all of this in this manner%) I think it is not only intuitive food alchemy but also intuitive relation to a person. For me you feel like this image, you write like this image and your incredibly shines through every single of your post! I am very blessed myself with meeting a person like you. As per photography, I can really feel that it is " one of those things that amplified my love for everything"- there are photos you look at them and they are beautiful but they can't tell you the story. Yours are different - they tell their own stories and words just support them. I love it and I love the feeling in me they create. Blessing from me and keep making the photoes and the stories which come with them%)

I love how connected we are in ways beyond anything we can see or tangibly put our fingers upon. You've read me well and I truly appreciate your witness. Thanks for reaching out to me, following intuition to connect, and for sharing yourself for the beauty that you are. I know my photography is potent, as the realities in which I engage are potent as well. I encode my photos, my food, my garden, my life with gratitude, and it can't help but shine though. So very grateful you can feel it!!! Blessed to connect with you.

I am very blessed too! One of the reasons I got here on Steemit is that I wanted to find people who I can connect, who feels, who share the same vision for the Planet and people and I am so gratful they are attracted to me!

Like attracts like @sashagenji. I'm grateful that we have already connected and can share some profound truths. Good move making it here. Steemit can always use more progressive thinkers and doers!!

The words of true wisdom%)

Love to try to live closer to nature one day.

It's great for your health. May you find your one day soon! Thanks for your comment @btcbtcbtc20155.

Pics are lovely! Looks like a great place to live :) This is my first summer when growing something, creating my little garden in a very limited urban space outside. And I can say it's really surprising to find out how much care I have for it! Even one small flower blooming in there can totally make my day :) Keep up the good work!

Right? I love that too, how something so very simple that nature practically does itself, is so joyous!! And when we get to eat the fruits of our labor, ohhhh so rewarding. The @gardenofeden is a place like no other--hand crafted with love!!! Grateful for your comment and your presence here @mindme.

And the fruits you get from the plants you grow, even if some might taste like nothing, they are still THE BEST fruits you've ever eaten! 'cause you've grown them with your own hands and love :) Oh yes that's pretty cool.

Love grown veggies are unrivaled!! Blessed are we that get to experience such dense nutrition and the joys of nature. As good as it gets @mindme. Great comment.

Love the photo of the Moringa - really neat designs and patterns in there. What is Moringa, anyway? I've never heard of it.

It's a native tree to Asia and Africa.

It has vitamins A, E and K, calcium, magnesium, is a rich source of iron, high in antioxidants, has lots of fibre, and all 9 essential amino acids....and likely more beneficial even than that. We eat it fresh in salads, juiced, in tea, or dried as a superfood powder. I've also used it to make kombucha. So far every year that we have cut it to the base for the winter it has come back! A very simple way to get your power packed nutrition.

Feel free use that photo if you'd like to make a cool piece of art. I can see it taking shape into something even more profound than it already is. Glad to see you here @pyrowngs.

Even moringa! Nice! I love hearing when someone grows moringa. It's one of my favorite trees EVER.

One of mine too--what is there not to love about Moringa? Well, I guess the flavor can be quite intense, but for those of us who are accustomed to dense green nutrition, it is lovely!!!

Did you grow the trees from a seed or did you plant mature ones?

I grew them from seed in pots. And a very awesome and unusual looking seed it is. All of those I've planted have sprouted, they grow fast and easily.

Such a beauty of nature. The watermelon is mouth watering im kinda thirsty right now.

Thanks @elemar. That's a pumpkin, but you still may be thirsty. May you get some activated water to quench your thirst!!

Beautiful photos of your beautiful vegetables, I really love life in the field . @everlove .

Me too @katari. There is nothing like having your naked feet on the earth and watching life thrive in balance all around you. so much we have to learn from nature. I thank you for visiting my page.
