Steemit Record Pool | Song of The Day : Jammin' by the greatest Bob Marley
Song: Jammin'
Artist: Bob Marley
Genre: Reggae, Ska
Released: 1977
In today's select i wanted to channel the great vibes and the power of music with the classic gem Jammin' by the legend Bob Marley
Jammin' by Bob Marley & the Wailers from their 1977 album Exodus When the song was released I was around 2 years old with that said I still remember this song playing everywhere around me and spreading great and positive vibes even til date it still does the same effect, and that's my definition to classic timeless music personally.
Beyond being a great Human being that he is, the Jamaican singer, musician and songwriter Bob Marley was looked at as the world ambassador for reggae music.
He sold more than 20 million records throughout his career. Hi music was revolutionary with great messages varying from unity to empowerment of the people and exposing the corruption in society to mention a few, his music was so strong and influential that it has led to his assassination attempt back in 1976, were a group of gunmen attacked Marley and the Wailers while they were rehearsing for a show and it led to injuries were a bullet struck Marley in the arm, and unfortunately another bullet hit his wife, Rita, in the head. Despite the unfortunate events Marley still performed at the show and wit a smile...

@qurator Thank your for the support guys! Hope you enjoyed today's Record Pool Select, Kudos ;)
Marley's last words were "Money can't buy life". That alone is evidence of what Marley represented. His path was not a smooth one, but he always managed to push through. Perhaps he knew his purpose was greater than music.
@scuzzy true that mah man, he def made great use of the power of music the way it should. his music will and story will live forever. Kudos!
