#MOTU - Fisto Faces And Deals With The Snake Men - Then Finds Himself Trouble

Fisto manages to catch his breath and calm down. The last 4 hours of frenzied smashing through the marsh, and his altercation with Mosquitor is all a blur to him. He remembers very little of it.

He sees some of his fellow warriors coming out through the marsh, She-Ra holding a can of Mortein. "That's an odd weapon!" he thinks to himself. "Must be a magic potion of sorts..."

All of a sudden a bright light appears, and a portal opens. It is Julia, Sorceress of Greyskull. She brings a message...

In Wildmere, find Orko. For one token each he will show you how to navigate the Vine Jungle safely so that you can reach Gorthlindir. If you don’t have a token you will need to make your own way there, watching out for Beast Man and his friends the Snake Men.

Upon entering Gorthlindir, you will need to search the temples and pyramids for King Stratos and the Egg of Avion. Watch out for traps and mazes that are difficult to escape from. They have been set by Entrapa and Evil Lyn who are keeping the King Stratos captive. Look out for your fellow heroes. They may need your help.
You have seven days to complete this mission.

The last few words were hard to make out, but Fisto gets the feeling he's heading into danger again.

"Tokens? That must have been what Donny was pecking at back there outside Greyskull. Perhaps I should have paid more attention. Oh well, I guess I have to do things the hard way." He takes out the map and studies it, and seems to fall into another trance, his stare fixated on the Vine Jungle.

"Malcolm!" Fisto's eyes narrow and a single tear briefly appears in his right eye before falling to the ground. It was in the battle to free the Masters Of The Universe from the trap of the Snake Men who had attacked his hometown, The Mystic Mountains, that Malcolm, brother of Duncan, Randor's first Man-At-Arms, had his right hand shattered. In gratitude for Malcolm's bravery, Duncan replace the shattered hand with a robotic fist. Malcolm has since that day been known as Fisto, and a member of the Masters Of The Universe, fighting evil with his gian titaniuim knuckles!!

"I've been waiting for this day a long time!" Snarled Fisto. "Token or no token, I'm not taking the easy road today. The Snake Men's days are over!" With that, Fisto sets off out of Windermere, towards the Vine Jungle. This time brute force won't work. Fisto would need to keep his wits about him.

Fisto slips into the south-east end of the jungle, and slowly moves forward, deeper and deeper, careful not to make any noise and draw attention to himself. The element of surprise is what Fisto is counting on to give him the upper hand against these vile creatures.

After 3 hours of stalking and tracking, Fisto reaches a small clearing in the middle of the jungle. He sees two of the Snake Men standing there, talking to each other. "Sssssooo, I hear there is a band of Massssterss Of the Universssse heading this way, and they have some friendsss with them thisss time. Hahahaha, thisss should be fun!!"

The Rage built up inside Fisto, and he almost charges at them there and then, but manages to keep his composure this time, and sneak around the edge of the clearing, making sure there aren't any more Snake Men hiding, and this wasn't another trap. Once he had circled the clearing, it was time! Fisto positioned himself in the thick vines behind the Snake Men, and as soon they all had their back to him, he drew his sword and rushed out at them. With one giant swoosh from his sword, he had decapitated them both before they could even turn around.

He quickly sneaks back into the vines, and continues west towards Gorthlindir, as quickly and quietly as he can. It was starting to get dark, and soon the night-creatures would be out hunting. Fisto could hear the yuggas starting to stir in the trees. He needed to get a move on.

A short while later Fisto arrives at another, much larger clearing, but this time with there was nobody in sight. At the other edge of the clearing was a giant granite pyramid.

"Gorthlindir! I am here!" Fisto whispers very quietly, in case there was someone hiding nearby. He was sure there must be more Snake Men, or at Least Beast Man nearby, but there was no trace of them.

Fisto creeps around the edge of the clearing, not wanting to expose his presence by going straight through the middle of the open ground. He reached the entrance to the pyramid and entered. The torches inside had already been lit, almost as if someone was expecting visitors. Fisto steps forward, more cautious with every step.

All of a sudden the floor gave way, and Fisto tumbled down into a deep, dark pit. The walls were smooth, and he has no way to get out. Fisto was Trapped! "HELP!!!!!"

Everything went dark.
