Stop Giving a F*ck What People Think

"The Greatest Showman" is a movie that was released last December, although it did not cause any great controversy, but I feel that I should express what I think about this movie.

When the movie just released, a lot of people have searched for the actors' details; there are touts, there are derogatory. But in my opinion, this movie is not only a biopic but more like an inspirational musical movie.

You have to know what you want to be so that you able to get rid of the other thing and pursuit it firms like a rock.

The beginning of the story is simple and beautiful, rich woman and poor boy fall in love with each other when they were young. After many years, the girl gave up the rich family and eloped with the boy. The girl is Mrs. P.T. Barnum; she always knew the happiness she wanted.

She was born in a noble family, had a good education, makes her graceful and charming. Pursuit loves no matter how others see her, makes her brave and wild.
This contradictory characteristics intertwined in her character, make her looks calm and romantic.

She married him when he was poor, regardless of other's pointing fingers, the smile bloomed on her face, as if she was in an independent world; When Barnum was worried about the circus' reputation, she gave him a warm and firm reassurance that "you don’t need to mind them"; When the daughter wants to give up ballet, she just smiled, while reassuring the husband, on the other side hope that her daughter can understand not to care what others think of her" ... She backed and believed in Barnum again and again no matter how to world sees her husband.

I think it is precisely because of this strong concept in her heart, in order to let such a delicate, slim girl to become a solid bay for Barnum, in order to let her emit a different light, attracting the greatest showman, and also attracted me.

Each of us has the different point of views, although many people will respect the differences between people, but there is no denying that our subconscious hope that others, or people who close to you, their point of views are closer to us.

We are often brutally devastated by reality when we have a good longing, and Mrs. Barnum had got hurt too.

After Barnum had deliberately bought a house near her parents' house, and then vindictive humiliated them in front of everyone, these actions deeply hurt her feelings.

For fame and fortune, Barnum gave up his family for a short amount of time in his life and tried to climb to the upper class.

Their bones are carved with "inferiority" by people, all day hiding in the shadow. Until one day, Barnum put them on the stage.
While they are happy, they are still worried about critics.

But even with the audience's applause and laughter, they gradually laugh loudly and shouted: "People want me to disappear, they advised me to fly away ... I won’t afraid to defy the world, go forward to die unyielding!”

Standing on the stage, living a different style, they know what they like. The audience's love and enthusiasm, let them fade to dastardly, regain courage and self-confidence.

The criticism, eyes from people around, let these people feel inferior. While hiding in sadness, and also because of word and behavior from people around, allow these people start their life again.

The views from people will always change, rather than floating around, why not be firm and follow your heart.
