Warm greetings my fellow steemians! I am here once more with a belated summary on how my
day 2
for the online orientation session of group 7 of last week's (6th - 12th December) promo activity was perfected by my team (@wase and @shance-light) and I, assisted by one of our country MOD (@majerius).
Last week's promo activity was set mainly to target social media users, as earlier mentioned in the Day 1 post.
Day 2 Activities (Orientation Finale)
Day 2 was kicked off at 7pm (GMT+1), but the session was started by my team members, with the help of @majerius (country MOD), since was running a little late.
The process started with roll call for over 30 to 45 minutes, so as to give everyone enough time to settle in.
I then asked members to indicate for those whom successfully created an account and did a draft achievement 1 post for a quick review by the team. Just 2 persons did so.
- My team and i helped revise all the draft achievement 1 posts done by newbies, as well as direct them on where to post it alongside the right hash tags to use.
- - I personally took them on the directions on how to subscribe to communities, how to post, sort out posts in a community, as well as switch via subscribed communities.Done by @b-naj
- - Education on how to navigate once they get to their accounts. She also showed them how to comment, check notifications, set profiles (and much more).Done by @wase1234
Challenges Faced
- Most members didn't take the assignment to draft an achievement 1 post seriously, despite the enormous effort exerted by my team and i to make the procedure easy to follow.
- The local network was very unstable from time to time.
- There was no electricity up until few minutes after 6:52pm (GMT +1), leading to gross late comings for the session.
- 1 member stubbornly posted a faulty achievement 1 posts (very short word count) without providing a draft for review, hereby prolonging the duration of the session.
- Many members thought of Steemit as being too much work, an as such, left in the middle of the session. They were probably looking for a get rich fast scheme with no work to be done. (There's no such a thing as free money!)
- The Session finale wasn't enough to finish all what we planned, so Saturday 11th December was also set aside to polish up the good work.
The Result From Last week's Online Orientation Session.
At the end of the orientation session, 5 newbies were registered, and 1 steemian who was left in the dark for over 2months after joining the platform was helped out.
All newbies + the 1 old steemian are very active and verified achievement 1 members

Plans For this week's (13th - 19th December) Orientation Session (Group 8)
_My team and i plan to replicate last week's orientation process for this week because of the overwhelming demand for education on what steemit is all about. The session will be held on Thurday 16th and Friday 17th December.
The whatsapp link to group 8 was already put up and shared on social media by my team and i.
We already have a wait list of 33 members (all admins/steemians excluded) in group 8.
The Main Purpose For This Promotional Activity
To spread the word about steemit in my locality, and to enrich my community on steemit via continuous growth and encouragement of the Club5050, Club75 and Club100 projects.
Much thanks goes to @wase1234, @shance-light and @majerius for contributing greatly to the succession of this promo steem activity. Our job doesn't end at bringing these newbies into steemit, we intend helping them find their path.
I applaud @promosteem.com and the admins for making most of these possible.
