Day 362: 5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: run for your life - Destiny Part 11

Continued from Destiny Part 10

"Phew... Lucky... The goblins didn't notice us... It won't be an easy battle to fight under the seven suns." Said Madeline.

"Let's get going. We should be out of this desert very soon. After this, we will be going into the mountain. Stay alert as there are ancient monsters guiding the mountain." Said Cyran.

After several hours, just slightly before sunset, they finally reached the border of the desert and the mountain. They saw a cave not far away. They decided to rest in the cave for the night.

It's a quiet night. None of them were in the mood of having any conversation. It's Jason and Madeline's turn to take the first stand guard. Alanis and Cryan lied down on the hard and cold cave floor and rest. Jason and Madeline sat near the cave entrance.

Midnight came. There's no moon in the sky. It's quite dark outside. Suddenly they heard a loud scary roar from within the cave. And they could feel the floor was shivering.

"Run. Get out from the cave now. We must have accidentally entered the ancient monster lair. Run for your life." Cried Alanis.

"Climb up the trees and hold your breath. The ancient monster has poor eyesight." Shouted Cyran.
