Lansium parasiticum, also known as langsat (/ˈlɑːŋsɑːt/) or lanzones, is a species of tree in the Mahogany family. The plant, which originates from western Peninsular Malaysia.

Description

The tree is average sized, reaching 30 metres (98 ft) in height and 75 centimetres (30 in) in diameter. Seedling trees 30 years old planted at 8 x 8 meter spacing can have a height of 10 meters and diameter of 25 cm. The trunk grows in an irregular manner, with its buttress roots showing above ground. The tree's bark is a greyish colour, with light and dark spots. Its resin is thick and milk coloured

Now lets visit the city of Talisay no.1 with the sweetest Lanzones in Negros.

Talisay City is next to the capital city going to the north direction of Negros Occidental.
Where you can see the vast field of Lanzones trees in Barangay Concepcion 20 minutes away from the city proper.

Lanzones is a tropical fruit in the Philippines which mostly grow in cool places.
Barangay Concepcion is one of the lanzones supplier and known for its sweetest producer in Negros.
Many cities and nearby barangays buy the harvested lanzones per Kaing in hiligaynon translation or one big rattan/bamboo basket in English.

In barangay concepcion lanzones field they accept visitors or local commuters who wants to eat lanzones.
Entrane fee is 50 pesos and you eat all you can, means you can enjoy eating the lanzones while picking it directly from the tree.

pick only the ripe fruit
no climbing on the trees
strickly no take out policy
You can buy per kilo for your take out
1 kilo cost 40 pesos minimum of 3 kilos
