Greetings from São Paulo to all Earth activists! I'm a little bit late but happy again to announce that in September 4th, 2018 (tuesday night), from 7:00 to 8:50 PM, happened the fifth meeting of the first Faircoop Local Node group in the city.

The meeting had the attendance of Emanuel Takahashi (@emanueltakahashi), Maíra das Neves (@mairadasneves), Marcos Dias (@vikdias) and I (@wagnertamanaha), members who also met in the previous meeting held in August 28th.

Again we followed the talk methodology which helped us to select issues and reach decisions we need so we divided the meeting in 3 parts: initial round, discussion and final round.

In the initial round all members (each one with the same and measured time) told what they expected about our meeting and Faircoop local node. Maíra warned us that we haven't a statute with priorities, objective and strategies, a requested item to became a formal local node beyond the Faircoop worldwide.

In the discussion time we discussed how the better way to write down this statute and how it linked with the presentation we want to prepare and use in meetings and events to talk about our project. We also read the step-by-step instructions to became a Point of Exchange (Local de Troca, LdT in portuguese), the requirement to select a person to be in charge of the PoE, register in the GetFarcoin platform, transactions fares, etc. We talked about including the São Paulo local node in the OCP (Open Collaborative Platform) and consequent configuration of a wallet linked to our group, a Faircoin address for collective transactions and to receive donations.

I'd like to take this opportunity to mention other initiatives to integrate the Steem and Faircoin cryptocurrencies, like the users @sfkls, @faircoin and @faircoop, the ask to join forces from @lovejoy, the contest of @frida.kahlo and the @jesusbatallar's proposal of direct tokens exchange.

Emanuel, who talked about Faircoop (transmitted live in his page on Facebook) in Blockcrypto event, questioned if we needed to define functions to each member of the group. A kind of division of work maybe we would decide to relay in the future. We also decided to visit the Fungo de Quintal depot, a place which local node participant Klaus Roedel is a partner and the first mushroom producer to accept Faircoins in the city.

In the final round we decided that the local node statute is the priority and then deriving from that one presentation. We know that is necessary to include the local node members through a form configured from our OCP (Open Collaborative Platform) account, we are talking with the global Faircoop technical staff to arrange it.
We also scheduled the next local node meeting: October 16, 7:00 PM at Casa Elefante.

Casa Elefante (Elephant House)

Our 5th meeting of São Paulo Faircoop local node happened once again in Casa Elefante (Elephant House in portuguese), like the third one in August 20th. This time, as you can check in the pictures above, we used that big TV installed there to browse the sites and online documents shared on the cloud. As we already told, the space mixes art and culture activities, working as a coffee shop, bar and second hand vinil, books and clothes shop.

Near there is located the Instituto Feira Livre, the place of our local node first meeting and not so far from the Baixo Augusta region, where we had the second meeting. Talking with one of the owners of Casa Elefante, who selected some vinil records to play that night, we discovered that many of his clients are college students from the [FESPSP] (https://www.fespsp.org.br/)(Politics and Sociology) and Escola da Cidade (Architecture). They are young people who are reviving the habit of listening non digital music and maybe would be interested in hear about our Faircoop local node ideas and projects.
