Wire... It's 7:40 p.m. and I'm in the office yet. I feel like a mouse hanging on a wire. A wire cabling 01010101011011110000 binary DNA of duties and ties... the mouse is in the labyrinth, no escape at the end of the tunnel. Press the red button, wait for a cheese piece, fear the electric shock.
Lead us not into sperimentation,
But deliver us from cats.

You have a lot of paper and wires in your life my friend! I think you may need to cut the cord for a few days Marco and take a needed break. Too much work and not enough play.
This is my cat's favorite toy. It's a guitar string with cardboard on it. She's had it for like, five months, and it still makes her go apeshit every time. She kept trying to swat me in the face while I was doing this. The lengths we go to for these selfies, right?! Anyway, this is a true freewrite. I kinda like the premise but it's a five minute mess. :)
Tripping on a wire, I fell face first into the mud. The other children laughed at me. I thought—what, you’ve never eaten shit before? Or at least, that’s what I wanted to think; it was pretty embarrassing. What I actually thought was something like, wow, I wish I could just roll over and die right now. Anyway, let’s go back to the start. We set up an enormous game of capture the flag with over 70 children, and it turned into utter chaos. Someone threw a firework into the mix, I heard, and another hid the flag where nobody could find it. Could you believe that? Also, what sadistic asshole sets up wires where tween kids can trip on them? This wasn’t just any game of capture the flag; this was a blood sport. Some kids opted to wear face paint just to really add to the aesthetic. I heard someone else brought super soakers and hid in the trees, recruiting others to ambush the enemy. Sometimes it was friendly fire; we weren’t exactly adhering to any one uniform (a terrible oversight on the planners’ part). I guess I didn’t get the memo that we were going full on Rambo with this. Maybe they wanted to believe they were in the Hunger Games, or they wanted to pretend to be in on the glory that our great grandparents experienced in World War II, when wars were still noble and hippies hadn’t been invented yet. That’s what 11-13 year old boys like to imagine themselves as, right? That’s the age where the realities of war haven’t quite set in and it’s still all just fun and games. Capture the flag is good for that sort of thing, I guess.
Great use of the prompt! What a game! I'd be scared.
Somehow as I read, I envisioned the entire game being played in the giant field behind my elementary school. There were trees/small woods on one side and I could see the super-soaker's lurking there!
Wow! This was all kinds of serious and a super fun read with history lesson tucked in!

@wandrnrose7, I like this selfish of wire that you have put up. Firstly the image simulates the power cable or wire like you have named it, and the innovative idea to place your head in picture 8nt9 the power plug is simply excellent.
Your earlier statement said this prompt is a real stretch but you are a survivor. Yes, not only are you a survivor, you did well in my opinion for your imagination as well as image editing too. The editor plug fits it real well as a whole to make this wire image lively.

I didn't feel like any facetime today. And, yes it's the same shirt from yesterday but that's where I'm at and pretense is not my favorite 0_0
Razor wire.. that's all that comes. Though I'm not particularly violent or macabre. Wires so thin they bite into your skin, though I'd prefer just to let people in the front gate. why didn't I think of music and clubs, the pride I take in being able to piece together a soundsystem out any ol' crap at a party. MacGyver used gum, according to all the jokes, and I almost spelled his name write even though I've never watch the show. Or Physica and electrons, there's so much fodder for a nerd dreamer to work with. It could be Westworld's fault that i see wire so bleakly or maybe I'm tired of being clever all the time...

You know, I didn't even consider razor wire when reading the prompt. I'm impressed that you are able to get a proper sound system up and running. It always takes me more tries than I'd like to admit to figure out which wire goes where. LOL at your MacGyver reference!

It's late, and it's dark, and I just got home a few minutes ago from my day of babysitting my granddaughter . So I used my "bipod" (thanks to @freedomtowrite for that word) and got a picture of me with our barbed wire fence around the garden.
