I am drinking a "green" smoothie. It is full of vegetables and some fruits and nuts. :) I will make an article about how to make one tomorrow morning after I make another one, heh.

Having fibromyalgia I have had to study a lot of different things to do with health in depth in order to gain semblance of a normal life without pharmaceutical medications. Thank you for your appreciation. :)
I had to go down a similar path. I had terrible acne in high school and went through years of antibiotics and creams and all the dog shit the doctors will give you. After beginning to understand holistic health and seeing the body as one big intricate machine in which all the components depend upon each other. that was a game changer. I had to heal my stomach from all of the anti-biotics and re balance my entire body particularly my hormones.
Western medicine is lacking in that it views the body as individual systems and thus we create specialized doctors who only know certain parts of the body when in reality, as you stated, the body is many entities working to create one entity; from organ systems to microbial systems, all of it is required to be working well for good health to resume. I'm glad you were able to heal yourself from such an experience!

Great question! I have heard many mixed reviews on whether or not the store bought sour cabbage has the same probiotic potential, but have never read any scientific studies on such. As such, I prefer to make my own. There are certain brands I've bought in a pinch that I've found certainly do have a high probiotic count (you can normally tell by opening the bottle and the pressure created from fermentation causes juices to spray everywhere), but it is the safest bet to make your own. :)
