My money is on that being completely irrelevant. If whatever you think you know about the middle east comes from American media, you know nothing whatsoever. If it comes from European media you know almost nothing.

No idea, that's a fundamental analysis which doesn't mix well with Technical Analysis. Cause and effect are not perdictive in TA.
