Belgian Jupiler League Week 6 Sunday Previews
A solid Saturday with the main Under bets in Stvv vs Oostende as easy winners and the first 'official' live bet on Discord also delivering within minutes. The current good run continues building up a nice buffer to deal with losing streaks who are also part of the game and come at some point eventually. The long run is what it is always about. Everything in between are just random swings not to get too much caught up in.
Anderlecht vs Antwerp
Anderlecht showed that they are still in the process of building a new team last week against Club Brugge. There were a lot of tweets about too many mediocre players in the team. The way I see Anderlecht is that they much more depend on mentality and work ethics this season which should see them do better against the weaker teams and have a harder time against the better teams. They bought Sanneh to enforce the central defend who cost them a whopping 8 million. He will likely be dropped into the team with vranjes suspended and Bornauw injured. Appiah & Milic at times did not look best and will also play. Trebel is still in excellent form and both Bakalli & Najar might be back in the team making an offensive minded line-up (I have to wait to get this confirmed though) Antwerp have had a solid start of the season. After 5 matches their goal saldo is 4 goals scored - 1 goal against raking in 11 points from 15. They were enforced in the attack by Mbokani, Refaelov & Baby (all will likely start on the bench). This should be a though challenge for Anderlecht and for as far as betting goes, the market values these teams pretty accurate. This is one of those matches where there is no need to get involved pre-game. I'm happy to wait it out and see how it all plays out. The late over when the home team has a 1 goal load will be high on my potential live bet list.
Cercle Brugge vs AA Gent
Cercle Played their first poor match last week against Antwerp and have yet to score in an away game. They tend to play a counter style when playing against better teams even at home. They showed that they have quality in their team and for now I just see the poor match against Antwerp as an off-day without changing the way I estimate them yet. AA Gent are a team I believe are a bit overrated and this showed away against Bordeaux who eliminated them from the Europa League. AA Gent have lacked some creativity and have a hard time breaking through a defense while at the same time when being ahead they finish things off late. I'm liking them on the 1st half under and 2nd half over. They also have no issue getting plenty of corners even though they don't really make use of them so far. The only tiny bets I took so far is 1st Half Under 1.25 @ 1.757. I also took a tiny bit on the 1H Under 1 @ 2.28 with an eye to trade out early if Cercle actually play forward instead of waiting for the counter. Them playing on the counter would make AA Gent much more carefull on their attacks.
Kortrijk vs Genk
Kortrijk started the season at a time when they were not yet ready and had no chance. Now things are starting to go better and they managed to take their fist win against Charleroi last week. I'm not sure that they will manage against a very strong Racing Genk side though. Kortrijk does not seem to have the team to play full defence while Genk don't need much to score goals these days. I do expect this to be an open match with plenty of chances on both side and goals. It is always guessing work how many players will be rotated in the Racing Genk line up. So far there were always 7 subs inbetween Europa League matches and I expect Genk to play with their full A-squad tonight. Genk are still high on both my underrated & over lists at the momen and I'm willing to back that up with some reasonable sized bets. These are the ones I took so far... Kortrijk vs Genk Over 3 @ 2.12 | Genk Team Total Over 1.75 @ 1.917 | Kortrijk vs Genk Over 3.5 @ 2.49 I will be looking out to take some more on the visitors in the good line-up is confirmed. Over in corners is also an option and have some stake left in the tank for potential live bets. I really look forward to this match!
