Beat Battle League Week Six Results
Holy smokes what an epic Week Six in the League with nine (9) incredible entries from music producers in the Steemit community.
The amount of talent and love for music on Steemit is so inspirational to see and hear and it is such an amazing community of Steemians helping each other with their craft.
Feedback is huge with the Beat Battle League so you will notice nice, critical feedback from comments, and from this post as well.
We added some fresh ears with @danyelk and @bambam808 joining the judging panel.
That makes the Beat Battle League team now as the following: @chiefmappster, @vandigital, @jphenderson, @danyelk, and @bambam808 (starts judging next week).
Both @danyelk and @bambam808 are community-driven individuals who love music and Steemit. Each of them have their own unique backgrounds and experiences they are bringing to the League. The announcement post tomorrow will include a nice description of their experiences.
Without further adieu, here are the results of Week Six of the Beat Battle League:
FIRST PLACE WINNER: @seveaux with an average of 4.44 from across the judging panel earning 65 Whaleshares and 20 SBD for a total of 85 Points.
Man these sounds holy smokes. Give it to us.
My favorite part is around 1:34 when you add that extra sound in there to really get this beat going. This beat is so easy to listen to and its over 5 minutes long. You do such an awesome job of having the BPM at a level where the listener gets energy from listening but not too much to overwhelm them.
I was nodding my head the entire time after 1:34. You have no choice, the beat is that incredible. You mix together so many epic sounds (one of these times you will have to list the sounds for us).
I especially love the video you picked out it ass such a fun element to your entry, you have no choice but to smile and dance while you are listening to it.
You were the number one choice for all of the judges so you are doing a lot of things right buddy. We have a wide range of experience and ears and you are reaching them all.

SECOND PLACE WINNER: @edgarstudio with an average of 4.17 from across the judging panel earning 50 Whaleshares and 10 SBD for a total of 60 Points.
Holy smokes @edgarstudio came back into the League and made his presence known this week.
Your vocals and lyrics are so freakin incredible and meaningful. I could feel the energy you put into them from here o weeee.
And then you switch from vocalist to producer at the 1:04 mark and the beat comes in so epically.
My personal favorite part is at 2:05 when the beat switches and you added different sounds that carried me to your vocals and then you end it like a composer. Professional and with purpose.
This is one of my favorite entries so far in the League because of how much talent and skill was needed to create this art and the purpose behind it seems so deep and meaningful to me.

This beat man something about this beat that just makes me smile and be so happy when I am listening to it.
Maybe it’s because the great J Dilla inspired this beat or maybe you got those frequency skills. Or both haha.
Regardless this beat raised my vibrations to such a great level I must thank you for that.

The piano is my favorite sound in this beat and the way you use it really raises my vibrations and keeps me involved in the beat. Me personally I catch myself play notes in the air as I am listening to this beat. Freakin epiccccc.

Ayyyy what a way to start off a beat and then immediately transition into this wavy entry.
Absolutely love the piano starting at :50 it really gives something for the ears to stay engaged with and then you hit us with the increase in tempo of the beat (at least perceived) around 1:35.
Even the cricket sounds you put in there add depth to this beat. You really did all the small things right to make an epic beat.
My favorite part is 2:59 the sounds and layers and then you add that piano in there made it my favorite part of the beat.
And freakin love the creativeness how ending it with the vocals you chose hahaha what an epic way to end it.
Lastly, I absolutely love how you put the Beat Battle League logo in the Youtube video like you did. Holy smokes it looks so real. Thank you for doing that.

We got the vocals this week in the Beat Battle League.
What a authentic vocal to start off this beat. It immediately gave it that Balkan feel to it. You set the tone awesome with that and then carry it with your great guitar.
When I close my eyes and listen to this I can see that picture you have in the video in my head. The music takes me to that pasture on a mountaintop in the Balkans.
That Balkan Hip-hop sounds like an epic genre to me. It has such class to it. Such an unique style that just makes you want to keep pressing repeat.

Love the humor and love the vibe of this beat. You can’t help but smile the entire time you are listening to it. I personally laughed out loud when I heard the Southpark line haha.
Love humor infused into music when it is done correctly. Only wish it was longer so we could really get into the beat. Right when I was getting into the zone it ended.

I love how you ease us into the beat and then WHAM at :24 you elevate the beat and add different sounds raising the perceived tempo.
And then you slow it again nicely at :48-:59 to allow us to catch ourselves and the BAM you go back in with those sounds and add that epic bird call sound in there.
My favorite part is around 1:36 when you go in with that bird call sound and keep the beat flowing. I can’t wait to hear someone spit on this.
And absolutely love the piano finish it adds that professional and classy feel to end the beat.

Remember on October 2, 2017 the top three (3) Steemians in the Beat Battle League Standings will be able to redeem their Points for POINTS, the cryptocurrency currently in its pre-launch phase.
A new cross-platform cryptocurrency called POINTS is taking the Beat Battle League to the next level this week.
The top three (3) Steemians who finish in the Beat Battle League Leaderboard seen on http://www.beatbattleleague.com/ (or at end of post) on October 2, 2017 will have the option to redeem those Points for the cryptocurrency POINTS.
If they elect to do so then they score in the leaderboard is reset to 0 and then begin the climb back up the standings until Season One of the Beat Battle League concludes on January 1, 2018.
For example, if say on October 2 @shakazula has 380 points through his participation in the Beat Battle League over the next month earning him a top three spot.
He has the option to redeem those 380 points for 380 POINTS and receive them via the Bitshares Network.
That's right the leaderboard not only gives you a chance to win the Beat Battle League Championship belt (prototype below), it gives you the chance to earn a cross-platform cryptocurrency of value.
It is just another way we are doing our part to build this Steemit community to its full potential.
First place of Season One of the Beat Battle League will be crowned January 1, 2018 and awarded the Championship Belt (prototype below)
Here are the updated standings as of today with @seveaux taking over the lead from @verbal-d. This is shaping up to be an epic month to see who will in the top three.

@vegancap , @chiefmappster Hey! :) i run into beat battle through music tag, heard some great stuff (now i see you mention the track i ran to in your post), and was very interested to enter the contest. Then i read there's producer's contest (I understand it's self produced songs- not necessarily with beat?) and it also got my attention. Since I'm doing all types of music i'll be happy if you can explain to me how i enter beat battle and producer challenge.

For the Beat Battle League, you just need to make a beat off of the theme that week. Like this week was Appreciation and Gratitude. So next week's theme will be announced tomorrow. Just create a Steemit post using the #beatbattle tag and/or post it as a comment on any Beat Battle League posts.
For the music producer's challenge, you can submit an original beat for feedback. You can also leave feedback on other beats as well.
