No Face is another one of my favorite fictional characters.
Although fictional, I believe No Face is based from Japanese mythology. Japanese mythology has the legend of Noppera-bō or faceless ghost.

No Face appears in the Japanese anime Spirited Away.
In spirited away, No Face is a creature who can disappear then reappear again. He devours people to gain their physical traits.

No Face is a lonely spirit who devours everything and everyone in his path.
I like the No Face character and think it was a really interesting creation. No Face doesn't speak other than moans and grunts, and can make gold appear out of thin air.

If you have not seen Spirited Away it's a great anime, with excellent animation.
