There's a whole new year ahead.

Which way will the Steem blow in 2019...

For the hardcore steemian I guess our gaze will be on RocksDB, SMT-lites, the DApps, the Apps... and of course the price of STEEM.

For now it's heads down, shoulders to the wheel, noses to the grindstone and push...

Powering up, powering up, powering up

That's what we want to hear.

And that's what @tarazkp's stats show. More people are powering up in just about all the SP ranges.

These numbers meant that from mid-May to the end of November there were :

255 more dolphins in the 5k - 50k range,

11 new orcas in the 50-100k range, and

25 more in the 100k+ range.

And in December similar figures...

- 52 more dolphins in the 5k - 50k range, - 11 new orcas in the 50-100k range, and - 7 more in the 100k+ range.

I have started a little personal blog series, Upcycling STEEM, to explore practical ways I can help grow Steem.

The Generosity of Steem - A Dollar A Day donates US$5000

As one of my other activities on Steem I run a charitable giving project called A Dollar A Day.

This provides a facility for steemians to donate small amounts of SBD or STEEM on a regular basis.

These multiple small donations are then pooled together to make single larger donations each day to carefully selected projects and organisations around the world.

The A Dollar A Day project started in May 2018, and it just yesterday reached its goal of donating US$ 5000 before the end of the year. Thank you everyone who donated.
