THE DAILY SNAKE # 21 - ASK FIRST
Around here, accurate identification of wild animals can be very important, especially when it comes to snakes.
However, just because my children can identify a nonvenomous snake and realize that it cannot really harm them does not mean that they can capture it on their own.
Prior to handling snakes or other animals, my children must get permission from me. Even if they recognize a "friendly" snake from earlier that is still on the property, they have to get my verification and permission first. If you saw the last video on this subject then you know how important this is around here.

Very good advice for any parent!...:)...
Good to know you have this rule for the kids. A misidentified snake can lead to trouble. :-)
Great post again, i love this way to get our kids into the nature thing.... i have some reptiles at home and try to show my kids how to handle it... We dont have much snakes out here... so thumbs up again for good work...
Fun times, yea always ask, my daughter is very sheltered sadly , wish we lived out in the country like I did as a kid, she would barely get close to a snake unless i was holding it maybe. It's all good. Stay awesome bro b e w e l l
