My Life's Journey - Amazing day with my brother Nikola.
Today was one of those day's I can call perfect in my books. My brother works in a city of Kastela, which is located about 10km from a bigger city called Split. For a weekend he came to visit my father, and me, to our hometown city called Drnis. It is a small city of maybe 3k citizens when all the students return home from universities. It is a small city but has a lot of character. I will write about it in one of my future posts. I love it when my brother comes because he is a bit "crazy", so whenever we meet up it is a setup for some good times.
It was a hot day. About 38C(100 Fahrenheit) outside, but there was no wind at all. So, it felt like it was 50c outside on a direct sun. We were literally just sitting down and sweating our behinds off. After some time drenching in the pool of our own sweat, we had enough. I mean Croatia is a country with a beautiful Adriatic sea, and here we are sitting at home. Idiots right? lol
As soon as we came to the obvious conclusion that we are idiots, we decided it time to sit in a car and drive about 70km southwest to visit some friends living in Murter. A beautiful town with some gorgeous sand beaches, and crystal clear sea. I mean if you guys ever decide to visit Croatia it is a beautiful place to visit. On the way there we decided to snap some photos and share our experience with you guys.
We passed by a little town called Betina and had to take a quick snap of one the beaches there. Simply beautiful.
Around 11 am we arrived to Murter. We met with our friends, and spend some time catching up. After that, we went straight to a beautiful sand beach called Slanica. We could not take our shirts off faster, and dive into the beautiful crystal clear Adriatic sea. The water was amazing. It was not too warm, and not too cold. Just perfect and incredibly refreshing.
After our first dive in the water, we went to our friend's house around 1 pm for lunch. Avoiding the strongest sun which goes from about 1 to 3 pm. We had an amazing lunch of Dalmatian cuisine and spent some time with our friends catching up. We have been friends with them for a long time, and they are good-hearted and amazing family. They did not have too much time to spend with us since they all work. But, I am just glad we got to see them.
After afternoon rest, my brother and I decided to go for a second swim around 7 pm. For me, this is the best time for swimming. The sea calms down, and the scenery with the sunset is simply breathtaking. Plus most tourists left the beach, and we have it basically for ourselves. I could never understand people leaving the beach when it's most beautiful, but staying there around 3 pm in the scorching sun. Anyway, the sunset was simply amazing. Take a look for yourself.
We spent about an hour swimming under this amazing sunset and enjoyed every minute of it. Had couple "friendly" swimming competitions. It's never friendly with two of us. They are always a winner and a loser. lol The winner gets the bragging rights for a day. We took some time to take some selfies and share it with you guys. According to modern research, we both have psychological selfie disorder. You can especially see why on two of those photos. Well, you can be the judge of it. lol 
P.S. He really is my brother. I know he is much lighter than me. lol
After the beach, we spent a little more time with our friends and drove back home. In my books, this is a perfect day. You really don't need much money, or material things to have one. All you need is good company, beautiful beach, and some amazing sunset. Or really just a good company. If you are in good company, it really doesn't matter where you go. You will always have a good time. Just like I always have a good time with my brother. Simply put my friends this was for me a PERFECT DAY for me.

Thank you so much for showing some part of the beautiful Croatia. It is true. I loved the sunset view. I must find time to really comb through the archives to showcase how Malaysian shores look like during sunset.
I also heard that there's this "power up" for the eyes from sunset treatment, I can't find it from the youtube at the moment, but imagine the wondrous gift that nature has to offer but often times we are so bound at work (in the office) or look down on the blue light screens (aka mobile screens) and missed the mysteries of the universe.

Well, we always joke around in the house that my brother is a postman son. :P I am more like my dad and he is more like my mom. But you can notice some similarities. One of them are eyes like you mentioned.
The sunset was simply amazing, and I know about "power up" sunsets. It's called the sun gazing, and it should only be done early in the morning and later at the sunset hours. Otherwise, you can damage your eyesight.
Well, we are too attached to modern technology these day's, and sometimes we do miss out on like you said "the mysteries of the universe". But it is not all bad with having mobile screens with so we can capture these amazing sunsets and take them home with us as a great memory. As long we don't overuse our "blue screens" it is a great tool for capturing unforgettable moments in our lives. :)

Beautiful story of you, your brother and your friends. You show that you certainly don't need to be spending a bunch of money nor a day on an electronic device to have fun. Just good old outdoors in the sun, surf and sunset like things used to be. I hope you have a lot more great adventures with your brother to tell us about. Great photos.

I love your story and your beautiful story. I love Croatia, full of history lessons and that beautiful Adriatic! I have six brothers and two sisters and some of the best times in my life have been spent with those who know me best. I look forward to reading more stories and seeing the glorious scenery!
