#1 Kim's Quest #12: Mararison Island Day Tour by @ybanezkim26
Mararison Island or Malalison as known by travellers, is an S-shaped island located in west of Culasi, Antique. It's one of the premier beach destinations in the island of Panay, but it's beauty has been known just recently. Only when the super typhoon Haiyan devastated the area that the media noticed it's beauty. Since then, tourists often include the island in their itinerary as a side trip before or after Boracay Island.

Before I share our little Sunday journey, I feel that it's worth mentioning that it was no easy feat to take these kiddos out to this area. There are no major highways that lead to the parks, so with 5 little humans along for the ride, someone was bound to get carsick. Kayla's 3- year old didn't handle the curves and hills very well, so the poor little guy got sick like 3 times. Subsequently, this adventure has henceforth been referred to as "Vomit-fest 2019"

Why do we do easily leave things behind just to build or start a newer, shinier version down the road. Forgetting what had been. What had served us well but outserved it's purpose. I love photos of old buildings and I often feel like shedding a tear about the abandoned ones. I often wonder why. What was the reason. And if there was a valid reason for moving on why not look after the one you're leaving behind. Why let it go to ruin.
