Michigan: The Place to Be

There are so many things that put Michigan on the map; the apple central, the great people, amazing food, not to mention Detroit, the seat of the American auto industry .

Activities to Take Part In

You better have a planner ready to make sure you go to most of the sites before you leave. There are several museums like the Detroit Institute of Arts and Gilmore Car Museum, beautiful gardens that are picturesque in nature like the Matthaei botanical gardens, several zoos and aquariums including the Detroit and Binder zoos, water and amusement parks. There is so much to do, but so little time.

The historical sites take you back in time and let you appreciate the different eras. They include the Motown museum, Colonial Michilimackinac and McGulpin Point lighthouse.

Food

A state that values food as much as Michigan should get an award. Once you travel, it is key to try out the delicacies native to that destination and that is exactly what you need to do in Michigan. Some of their signature meals include Coney dos, Vernors, Mackinac island fudge, Faygo and square pizza. These tasty surprises are worth every mile you need to take to visit this lovely place.
