What You Need To Know About Lagos, Portugal
At the Western Coastline of Algarve lies the historic city of Lagos. Its amazing beach, nightlife, and historical site attract numerous tourists annually. The historic center of Lagos is spectacular owing to the harbor and Moorish walls that show the Portuguese culture. The city center has a wide selection of restaurants that are accessible from the available Portuguese sites.
The sites include zoos, water parks, hiking trails, and even historic monuments. The Ponta da Piedade cliffs are located to the south of Lagos. This natural feature holds sea caves, arches, and grottos. In addition to this, the spectacular Meia Praia beach to the east of Lagos city is about four kilometers long. Apart from all this, a number of towns, which also have many sites to offer, surround Lagos. These towns include Portimao, Luz, Silves, and Sagres, among others. Their proximity to Lagos could allow you to take trips and be back right on time for the lively nightlife of Lagos city.
The transportation system is cheap because of the proximity to the sites and the accessible public transport of the city. Therefore, if you want more out of your vacation as opposed to the usual good holiday weather and sandy beaches, then this should be your target destination.
