Delaware: The Jewel In The Crown
Delaware, a state known by many nicknames that reflect its many unique qualities. Firstly and most importantly, the State of Delaware is known as The First State. And rightly so. Among thirteen original states in America, Delaware was the first to uphold the U.S Constitution in the year 1787.
This famous state is also known as The Small Wonder, where it ranks as the second smallest state in America. Where it lacks in size, it makes up for in with magnificent wonder and unfathomable beauty. So, it's no surprise that Delaware always tops the list of most travel enthusiasts.
It is populated with numerous towns that reverse time for you. Towns such as Lewes, Smyrna, and Odessa just to name a few.
The above-mentioned towns are dotted with historic artifacts, buildings, and monuments. Smyrna holds the fascinating Smyrna Opera House, which details certain historical facts of the beautiful town.
The fun does not end there, as one can take long walks down the breathtaking beaches of Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes. Or better yet, Rehoboth Beach which has been listed amongst the ten best small coastal towns.
The proof of history pours into certain restaurants and hotels. One great example is the historic Cantwell's Tavern in Odessa. Cantwell Tavern is a great place to unwind after a long day at the beach. Tease your taste buds with the some of the best local wines, different flavors of beer and a variety of crustacean cuisines that are like no other.
