The various cruise boat companies that operate in Halong Bay run hundreds of boats, varying from old fashioned wooden junks, to super modern cruisers and giant riverboat style craft. They offer incredibly luxurious standards of accommodation. The cabins on some of these boats are equivalent to that of five star hotels,with jacuzzis, king sized beds, opulent furnishings and private verandas on which you can enjoy a private cocktail whilst taking in the staggering beauty of this fascinating area.

The boats take their passengers on daily excursions to visit many of the attractions already named in previous attractions of Halong Bay. The caves are a big hit with travellers as is the kayaking expeditions. Sometimes though, the very best experiences are enjoyed onboard.
