Aerial view of the Labe (Elbe) River and the town od Decin from a lookout point above the town. Home to almost 50,000 people, Decin is located in the northern part of the Czech Republic. The dominant feature of Decin is the Decin Castle that was built at the beginning of the 14th century. Source: Shutterstock, author: Stavrida

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words. I will then go through your submissions and upvote those that meet the requirements. Let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

I am really happy to see more and more great photos being submitted to this challenge every day. Yesterday was no exception, we had several awesome entries featured in the photo challenge, including this amazing panoramic view of Prague by our new contributor @exploreand with the following description:

After a long day enjoying and learning about the heritage of Prague on a free walking tour, we decided to walk up hill to get a view from above. We had a fantastic experience joining the free walking tour and recommend it. I have the impression the guides always give their best in the free walking tours. We were rather exhausted and did expect a cool view but when we arrived on the top of the hill it looked much more beautiful than we had imagined.

A typic alley of Prague, they consists of narrow paths and classical buildings painted with this characteristic yellow colour. This type of yellow so common in the classical constructions of Prague, Vienna, Bratislava and other cities of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire is known as Hapsburg Yellow.

Very typical! Absolutely agreed.

My girlfriend brought me to that wonderful castle "Karlstejn". Perfect view from down, but also a wonderful view from up there.
We had a guided tour there, very recommandable.

Your girlfriend knows her stuff:)

This spectacular view of Vltava river I captured from Letna Hill. It´s a favourite place for summer strolls. It´s one of the best parks in Prague, great place to relax for everyone, georgous even in winter.

You gotta love Letna for those views! What a place!

Me in front of the Vysehrad Railway Bridge, one of the most famous train bridges in Prague. You can also see the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul in the background (the two towers). The swans tend to gather at this spot on the Vltava River, making it a popular place for families with kids and… me! :D Image taken in April 2015.

Great pic and nice info! Thank you so much. Tomas

You might of missed this one cos of your timezone difference.

Sharing a picture taken at night. After dinner if we still have energy from our morning travels, we will go out to take night shots when we travel. Prague from memory was very quiet at night and taking our night strolls was very pleasant. The things you see during the day gives a different vibe during the night.

I am sorry if I did...... last 7 day were rather difficult with the time zones and internet connection....

Great image and entry! Thank you so much for that. Tomas

hey all good. I'm one of the earliest people to log off and earliest to wake up cos i'm in Sydney haha

Zhizhkovskaya TV tower. The tower is completely different from the rest of Prague architecture, it is strange and too modern. Perhaps not everyone likes it, but the tower has become one of the city's bright sights.

Yep, even that is part of Prague:)

This picture was taken at the highest summit of the Czech Republic at mountain Sněžka, 1603 meters.
That day I met a lot of astonishing views while hiking to the top and this spot is the result of the hard work of hiking. I also have the noted that we had to walk all the way back down to Karpacz (where we were staying) as the ski elevators closed after 5...

image

Awesome... the views from here are really awesome. I actually ran up Sněžka but from the Polish side. I've done a 38km loop, but there was so much more to see. I'll be back there one day.

Same here, went all the way from the Polish side and back. We were staying at Karpacz. I can't remember how many km's we did, but it was exhausting enough :)

Great job! I love your entry. Tomas

Every now and then something amazing happens in an edit. I preset to you a different view of Saint Peter and Paul Basilica. From this one location, you can have several different views of Prague, and they're all mesmerizing. Enjoy some beer from the beer garden while you're here and feed the swans down the steps by the river.

I love that place.... Thank you so much for your entry!

The Church of the Decollation of St. John the Baptist, the small building from the 12th century is located on a hill between full-grown trees in the valley containing the original core of Prague's district of Dolní Chabry (Bílenecké square 17/12). The church is surrounded by a stone wall with an ancient campanile. The church was built along an important route that connected Prague and Mělník and continued northward.

What a lovely place and a nice post. Thank you.

While walking down from pertin tower, I saw this leaf sitting on the guard rail. I thought it looked pretty cool and the way the tree make a natural tunnel in the background is cool. My time in Prague was awesome.

I bring it up because your upvotes are really important to me and I really appreciate them.

Last few day have been pretty upside down for me due to travels, time-zones and internet connection. Should be better now. Feel free to re-use the post I did not upvote in your next entries. Tomas
