View of the Buchlovice Chateau, a stunning example of Baroque architecture found near the town of Uherske Hradiste, Czech Republic. Located next to the medieaval castle of the same name (Buchlovice), the chateau features refined architectural style of the Italian baroque villa, numerous collections of artworks and stylish old furniture. Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words. I will then go through your submissions and upvote those that meet the requirements. Let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

I am really happy to see more and more great photos being submitted to this challenge every day. Yesterday was no exception, we had several awesome entries featured in the photo challenge, including this amazing aerial view of Prague by our regular contributor @narchuk with the following description:

I started to travel quite a long time, about 15 years ago. The Czech Republic was one of the first countries I came to. Copters were not invented yet. The only way to look at some place from above was the observation deck. And I regularly tried to visit all the observation platforms. It's very exciting to look down on the city. All this looks like an amazing toy.
I still do not miss an opportunity to climb a tower or a mountain.

In the Castle complex of Prague, there are many different architectonic styles. This photo shows the main tower of St. Vitus Cathedral and the Obelisk. The Obelisk is a memorial of WWI and it was erected in the late 1920's. The Tower of St. Vitus is Baroque style, it contrasts with the Gothic style of the main façade of the Cathedral.

Huge metallic sculptures of alpacas found on the top of the botanical garden in Troja, Prague. There are dozens of these bizarre sculptures in the botanical garden, most of which were designed by the famous Czech artist Lukas Rais. I took this shot with my cell phone on a chilly December day in 2014.

Chateau Kravaře is one of the most important baroque buildings in Silesia. It is located in the large quiet park with golf course. It´s perfect place for Sunday family trip with lunch in chateau restaurant.

Picture taken at the Adrspach-Teplice rocks around Eastern 2017.

Being here puts your fantasy at full creativity, because you can picture different scenes while looking at the rocks. This one for example looks like two persons kissing each other, a fat one and a skinny one. I cannot remember if there is a name for this one.

After a long day enjoying and learning about the heritage of Prague on a free walking tour, we decided to walk up hill to get a view from above. We had a fantastic experience joining the free walking tour and recommend it. I have the impression the guides always give their best in the free walking tours. We were rather exhausted and did expect a cool view but when we arrived on the top of the hill it looked much more beautiful than we had imagined.

Villa Müller (Nad Hradním vodojemem str. 642/14), located in Prague's district of Střešovice, is the house that was designed originally by Adolf Loos for Mr. Frantisek Müller and his wife, Milada Müller. The villa built in 1928-30 is considered to be the chef-d'oeuvre of the international architectural avant-garde. The construction of the villa is strictly functionalist. It's evident in the multi-level parts of individual rooms.

This picture was taken at the OLD TOWN SQUARE, one of the most famous squares in Prague. It's like a big meeting of tourists, horse-drawn carriages, doves and artists making music. I really liked it and hope to be there again one day :)

I love your picture!

thanks a lot :)

Hi Tomas. I think you missed my photo from yesterday, so I'll just drop it again. ;)

If you walk around St Vitus Cathedral in Prague you'll see all sorts of interesting doors and details. This is the detail I captured on one of its doors. You can see the parts that people touch most when 'investigating' the detail.

Good luck with the rest of the week everyone, halfway there... almost weekend!

Some more shadow action on the doors of St Vitus. Those doors are more than twice as tall as the person standing on the side. Now, I do not remember how tall that person was, but, those are pretty tall doors right there.....
