Best Valentine's Day Gifts With STEEM
Valentine's Day is just round the corner and like most people you may be scouring gift ideas on the internet at the last minute, especially if you're planning to order online. But now you're a Steemit user and you have your hard earned Steem and Steem Backed Dollars that you can spend.
What better way to show someone you love what Steem can do for both of you!
Of course you can always use your SBD and Steem to power up but there is no harm in spending some of it every once a while. After all that is the reason a power down option has been given on Steemit.
Gift Steem
The best thing to do is to gift him or her some Steem. With the SMTs about to roll out this year and the undervalued state that our favorite currency is in now, any Steem that you give someone will be worth much more in a year.
Imagine you gifting 100 Steem which grows to 1000 Steem, an easy and certain appreciation of 10x in a year. I have seen enthusiastic Steemians saying that it will grow 100x , in which case your 100 Steem gift will be a cool 10,000 Steem!
No doubt, it is not the price of a gift but the thought that counts but a little bit of dreaming is nice for a change, more so when the dream seems very likely to come true!
Teach Steeming
Better still, teach him/her how to earn Steem by blogging on Steemit. As the Chinese proverb says:

Many of you may not be familiar with the Steemit Shop - its listed as one of the links in the sidebar which comes up when you click on the three lines on the top right hand corner, next to your avatar.

Until a while back I didn't know that you can purchase gifts from Overstock and Newegg and pay using Bitcoins. This means you can choose from a variety of goods including the latest electronic items. Of course you will have to convert Steem to Bitcoins first.
You can also look for something that you want to buy for him/ her online. Many portals run by individuals accept Bitcoin and they mention so on their website. Shopify is an online software that facilitates selling of goods by individuals and has recently enabled a Bitcoin option as a mode of payment. So there is a good chance that a Shopify website that has a great gift idea may be accepting Bitcoin, if the owner of the site has enabled the option.
Travel
You might be planning a travel holiday with your loved one. Expedia accepts Bitcoin for hotel bookings. Go ahead and book your dream holiday for Valentine's Day after changing your Steem into Bitcoins.
Look For Someone Special
If you would like to use your Steem to look for someone special convert it to Bitcoin and go to a dating site called OKCupid.com that accepts it. Use your Steem and make sure that you're not alone on Valentine's Day.

There are lists of companies that accept Bitcoin - it is more widely used than any other cryptocurrecy. You can go through the list below and get some gift ideas after figuring out the companies that accept Bitcoin.
You can Google for recent and updated lists - they are always getting added with more companies and websites accepting cryptocurrencies.
