We do not need a spaceship to explore
when there is a whole universe inside,
Untouched resevoirs
that plumb midnight depths.

From our seat between these eyes we can glide
frictionless while we're skirting the ego,
that black hole of greed
that never lets go.

We can watch the suns rise from anywhere
when everywhere is only in our head,
and all that we see
is that which we want.

We do not need suits to protect our breath
but it is breathing that we need to learn,
channeling the gas
that provides for life.

Somewhere in the stars a long time from now,
eyes will look up at the heavens in thought,
great big resevoirs
dancing in their sight.

And they will take flight to bathe in the dark
a fierce hope that as above, so within.
That the complex sky
serve as reflection.

When those brave souls have blasted off their rock
and crossed the divide into the mirror
They'll see their journey
started long ago.
