In what dream do you live if you live in fear?

Yesterday, I read a piece of what my daughter wrote.

Looking at you frightening ... Looking behind you makes you sad ... Look next to you, because there I am.

This sentence can put you thinking again.

When does life really scare you? Past, future or just the present? How would you be in life if you should live in fear daily? Do you know what happiness is? And what does that happiness actually mean? Because can you live without looking back or secretly dreaming about the future? The grass on the other side still seems greener. But is not it just a beautiful appearance, what one wants to let over?

Are we not trying to make our dream look as beautiful as possible, and to carry it out in that way? And do you have that person next to you, who you could look at? Because let's be honest, it's not much easier to keep that wall high so nobody can hit you anymore. But we do not miss that one good discount that you could have taken if you had just that right person next to you and had taken her advice. For just because of that wall, the good things do not come in. And would you like to look next to you, if you want to keep track of your own way? Or can we not better learn to take that advice? And not being eccentric and continuing to do what we want.

This reminds me of the words of my grandmother, who always said "self-esteem is also wisdom" but is that wisdom wisdom? Are we not walking even harder against our own built wall? So my own vision of all this is actually very simple, let's look next to us and try to lean on the people who want to be there for us. And in that way, let the wall drop, so that we can live a little in the present, and no longer have to look behind. And in this way, our dreams can be made true.
